Description
17 Hallgarth is a beautiful Grade II listed cottage situated on the edge of the market town of Pickering in North Yorkshire. Hallgarth is a quiet road near to the church and the town is easily accessible via a pleasant walk through the churchyard. The cottage is traditionally furnished to a high standard but well equipped with all modern appliances to ensure that your holiday is relaxing and comfortable.
The cottage aims to provide a home from home for our guests and as 17 Hallgarth is owner managed there is always someone on hand to assist our guests as we live in the town and know it very well. I take great pride in ensuring that the standard of the cottage is kept high and that our guests are able to enjoy a comfortable stay.
The cottage has the added benefit of a private parking space situated at the end of a pleasant enclosed garden. We are happy to welcome well behaved pets to our cottage at no extra cost.
Our aim is to provide good quality accommodation at a reasonable cost so for this reason we operate a simple seasonal pricing policy which does not increase prices during school holidays. In addition we will be as flexible as we can with our guests requirements so while our main changeover day is Friday we will always consider flexibility and offer short breaks in addition to 7 and 14 night stays. Please ask if you have specific requirements regarding start dates as we will do our best to accommodate you. Our website supports a variety of payment options including card payments.
Pickering is ideally situated at the foot of the North York Moors and is therefore well suited as a base to explore the surrounding area. The coastal towns of Scarborough and Whitby are short drive away and there is some excellent walking country surrounding the town. Pickering is the home of the North York Moors Railway a heritage railway which operates steam and heritage diesel trains between Pickering and Grosmont throughout most of the year. An increasing number of trains now run through to Whitby and the railway also operate luxury Pullman dining trains.
The town has a good selection of unique shops selling a wide variety of goods. There are also facilities such as banks and supermarkets and a market is held every Monday. There is also a good selection of cafes and places to eat.
We look forward to welcoming you to our cottage at 17 Hallgarth.
