Description
Trullo Annunziata is a luxury 'trullo' property located in the countryside outside the historic town of Ostuni, 'La Citta Bianca', 'The White City'.
'Trulli' are conical roofed peasant dwellings and are unique to this part of Italy. Trullo Annunziata offers the opportunity to experience staying in one of these beautiful traditional buildings whilst benefiting from all modern comforts and a private swimming pool.
Beneath the four cones of the trullo there is a main lounge area, an archway at either side accessing the kitchen on the left and the bedroom area on the right. Off the bedroom area is the bathroom.
The lounge includes a large sofa, which converts into a comfortable bed for a further two people - although please note that the open plan layout of trulli is such that it is only suitable for close family and friends who don't mind sharing the same space. There is a flat screen TV and DVD player, and a Bose wireless speaker to connect to for music.
The kitchen is modern and fully equipped, including a gas hob, electric oven, fridge/freezer, dish washer, large sink, and sufficient cutlery/crockery/glassware etc. for four people. There is also a dining table and four chairs.
The bedroom includes a comfortable double bed, and wardrobe area for clothes and luggage storage. Two small stone alcoves in the wall contain lights and act as bedside tables.
Off the bedroom area is the luxurious bathroom completely tiled with slate up to the exposed stones of the trullo cone. It contains a small bath, shower, toilet, bidet and sink, as well as a top loading washing machine.
Outside the property there is ample parking space to the rear of the building, and just outside the front door you step onto a large patio area with a table and four chairs, surrounded by pots and plants. Just a couple of steps away from this patio is the private swimming pool with an 'infinity' edge down the entire length of the far side of the pool. The steps at the shallow end of the pool also double up as seats for two people to enjoy a glass of local wine or a cocktail whilst relaxing in the sun surrounded by a selection of small fruit trees.
The property is set within a 2-3 hectare site which includes olive, almond, and a variety of fruit trees, as well as a small vineyard. Guests are welcome to take a stroll amongst the grounds and enjoy the variety of produce available throughout the year.
Within close proximity to the property are the historic towns of Ostuni, Carovigno, Ceglie Messapica, San Michele Salentino and San Vito dei Normanni, and the stunning 'town of trulli' at Alberobello is also within easy reach. The white sandy beaches of the Adriatic are also a short distance away, one of the best and closest at Santa Sabina only 15 minutes drive.

Location description
The trullo is set in the countryside between several historic local towns, amongst olive, almond and fruit trees, as well as a small vineyard - perfect for an evening stroll.
There are numerous local towns with interesting histories, dramatic architecture and places of cultural interest, all within a short drive away.
There are a wide selection of white sandy beaches and other coastal highlights within easy reach on the Adriatic coast, and the Ionian coast and Gulf of Taranto slightly further away.
A car is highly recommended in order to fully explore the area.

Directions
The trullo is located between the towns of Ostuni, Carovigno, Ceglie Messapica, San Michele Salentino and San Vito dei Normanni. On a road connecting the main roads from Ostuni - Francavilla and Ostuni - San Michele Saletino.
Closest and most convenient airport is Brindisi, with Bari a little further away. Both cities also have major passenger ferry ports. There are a number of train stations in the local towns, with Ostuni being the most convenient.
