Description
In the heart of the "Rías Altas" region of Galicia, we offer you two delightful former River Mills ecologically restored: Maquía Mill and Batán Mill. The cottages are situated in an exceptional and idyllic location in the protected valley of River Mera (European Network Natura 2000), a few minutes from pretty Atlantic beaches and the tremendous cliffs that round the northern coast.
Maquía Mill has fully equipped kitchen, 3 fireplaces, barbecue and garden furniture and is surrounded by a semi-wild garden divided by the Fervenza brook and natural woodlands. They offer the ideal base to explore the fascinating landscapes of the Ortegal area and discover the lush green countryside.
The house is an old mill, stone built, restored with ecologically materials in 2000. It has one bedroom with double bed, log stove and en-suite bathroom; a second bedroom with two single beds, log stove and en-suite bathroom, and a third bedroom with two single beds without bathroom. The sitting room has a wood stove, TV and sofas. In the kitchen area is the dining table, fridge, cooker and microwave. The mill has also a library zone for reading and a room with the old mills. We offer cot for free for babies. Washing machine is shared with Batán Mill in the same property. Firewood is included in the price.
Outside there is a barbecue, a vine arbor and garden furniture.
