    Helsbury Park is the UK's leading dog friendly, self catering holiday accommodation. We offer luxury, dog friendly holiday cottages with access to around 100 acres of unspoilt woodland and open pasture in the heart of north Cornwall. We have three totally dog friendly cottages and a stunning pool facility on site.

    Our secluded, 5 Star, self-catering, luxury farm holiday cottages are within easy travelling distance of all Cornwall's major attractions and many beautiful dog friendly beaches. Helsbury is an ideal base for your holidays from which to explore all that Cornwall has to offer from the drama of Bodmin Moor, the unique Camel Trail and the devastating beauty of the South West Coastal Path. You will not find higher quality, dog friendly holiday cottages anywhere in the UK.

    The Farmhouse

    The Farmhouse is our flagship property, it has an imposing scale and looks out over the whole park, it's a granite and slate built traditional farmhouse with 3 double bedrooms and large open spaces downstairs. Starting in the huge kitchen with it's bespoke oak units and stunning modern appliances, through the generous dining area and into an ample yet cosy drawing room with a woodburner at one end and TV at the other. Alternatively you can find yourself in the huge breakfast room with glass walls on three sides with the most spectacular views over the Camel valley and up onto the moor.

    Marhayes is one of our large converted stone barns. It offers spacious open plan living downstairs and three generous en-suite bedrooms upstairs. Recently refurbished using traditional materials such as slate and granite; Marhayes mixes character with modern comfort.

    Marhayes sleeps 6 in a double, a twin and a large double room. Two rooms have four poster beds one of which is king-size. All the bedrooms have en-suite shower rooms and there is an additional family bathroom downstairs. A separate utility room with space for drying waterproofs or dogs makes this a perfect base for families who love the outdoors. A terrace runs along the whole front of the house with spectacular views, a bar-b-q and picnic table. A range cooker, wood-burner and washer dryer all add to the feeling of a dream home-from-home.

    Marhayes is built at right-angles with Westhayes and they share an open-plan garden.

    Westhayes is the second of the two 200 year old barns at Helsbury Park to have been converted into spacious holiday accommodation. It has also recently been refurbished to maximise its charm and comfort with luxuries such as a range cooker, wood burner and four-poster beds. The living accommodation offers a generous kitchen diner and separate sitting room with a stunning galleried staircase in between.

    Westhayes sleeps 6 in three bedrooms, two having king-size four-posters and one twin. The master bedroom has an en suite bathroom while the other two have en suite shower rooms. There is a further toilet on the ground floor and an additional utility room with washer-dryer.

    There are stone markers either side of the main entrance. As you drive down the lane the Farmhouse is in front of you on the right, head past it through the gate and turn right to get to the barns, Marhayes is the first barn, with Westhayes behind it.

    Directions

    Take the M5 to Exeter, then the A30 towards Bodmin. Just after Launceston take the exit signposted to North Cornwall / Camelford / Wadebridge A395. Follow this road until it meets the A39. Turn left onto the A39 towards Camelford and Wadebridge. Once through Camelford take a left hand turn signposted to Bodmin on the B3266, just after the BP garage. Two miles along this road on the left hand side you will find Helsbury Park.

    Now, after visiting the Farmhouse at Helsbury Park, we have had to rethink the phrase 'dog friendly'. Other establishments in which we have stayed, purporting to be dog friendly we now realise are merely dog tolerant (in varying degrees) and most make dog owners feel like second class citizens and are an inconvenience which they need to put up with. Helsbury Park turns that on its head. Facilities here for both 2 legs and 4 legs are second to none.

    We've just returned from a week in Westhayes and I wanted to thank you for such a lovely holiday cottage. It's great that dogs are allowed in such a wonderful place. We've spent the last 3 years trying to find somewhere that is home from home that is also dog friendly. We wanted for nothing, including superb views and we look forward to returning again to these wonderful dog friendly cottages

    We stayed at Marhayes and I wanted to say a huge thank you as we had the most incredible week - not only were we lucky with the weather, but we truly had the best surroundings. Marhayes is a gorgeous dog friendly cottage - you really have thought of everything! The view in the morning made it easier for us to get out of our super-comfy beds!
