    Description

    Copse Cottage is a small, 2-bedroomed cottage at The Hopcott, Alcombe, on the outskirts of Minehead, Somerset and right on the edge of Exmoor. Ideally placed for walkers, and for the plentiful attractions that this beautiful area has to offer, including Dunster, Selworthy, Porlock, Watchet and of course lovely Minehead itself, with its quaint harbour, promenade, steam railway and of course Butlins at the far end of town, with its appeal as a day out for children.

    Renovated in 2017, our charming upside-down cottage looks like a small bungalow from outside, but stairs inside lead down from the living area to two bedrooms and a bathroom on the lower ground floor. Ideal for couples or small families, we offer one double bedroom, and two singles in the second (a 3ft and a 2ft6in). We have a travel cot and high chair available, a stair gate and a fire guard for use with our wood burner.

    One small well-behaved adult dog may be accepted by arrangement, but please note that Copse Cottage doesn't have a garden. There is a shared lawn garden on the development, with clothes lines.

    The quiet and private car park for The Hopcott is right outside the cottage, offering free parking for one vehicle, and level access.

    We also request a refundable Security Deposit of 50.00 per booking - this will be refunded in full within 7 days of your departure, provided the cottage is left in good, clean order and with no breakages. We reserve the right to make a deduction from this deposit if damage/breakages occur.

    We will be pleased to offer a discount if you can bring your own towels and teacloths - please enquire.

    Payment by Paypal please - details will be provided on receipt of your enquiry. Provisional bookings will be held for 48 hours pending receipt of your deposit, amounting to 25% of the total holiday cost (excluding Security Deposit) - receipt of the 25% deposit will secure your booking. The 25% deposit is non-refundable.

    Payment of the balance and Security Deposit will be due 6 weeks before your arrival date.
