Marmaduke Cottage, Sancton is a delightful grade II cottage in a small quiet village location. Dating back to 1820 its charming character features have been carefully restored to give it a warm and welcoming base for your stay.
The cottage has an enclosed south facing garden with Red Kites seen gliding over the village in the warm late evenings. Roses and lavender make the garden a relaxing place to sit after a day exploring.
With its original features of oak beams and quarry tiled floor and furnished in a country cottage style it is cosy and inviting.
Upstairs a large double bedroom overlooking a hay meadow to the 15th century church, the smaller single bedroom has views over the garden. The bathroom with its sloping ceiling and pine shutters on the windows and wood panelling is in keeping with the character of the cottage.
The sitting room has an open cast iron fire place and views onto the lane from its Yorkshire sash windows, original pine doors lead to a bespoke pine kitchen with separate dining area.
A welcome pack of bubble bath/soap along with milk , tea and coffee plus a home made cake to welcome you after your journey.
