Description
Knockalane cottage is stone built dating back to at least 1730. It is adjoined to Knockalane House and enjoys beautiful gardens and grounds which house a racehorse training yard. Horses going up gallop daily. Cottage has all amenities such as dishwasher, washing machine, etc yet keeps old character with butler sink, slate and parquet floors, four poster bed. Children are welcome,We love to see children running around the place and making use of the lawns for football etc. Ideal as the castlecomer discovery park is just 10 minutes drive away. Kilkenny castle and shopping is just 15 minutes drive, with great night life. Castlecomer has a no of restaurants, including a 5star. The discovery park has the huge zip wire. Tree top climb and very interesting museum. Also horse riding and castlecomer golf course. Our local pub is just 1.5 miles from our door. So lots to do any time of year. Price includes towels, bed linen, central heating and logs for stove.

Location description
Knockalane cottage is based in the countryside, surrounded by gardens and grounds belonging to knockalane house. This is a functioning racehorse point to point training yard, also thoroughbred breeding establishment.Horses out on gallop daily. We are also only 6 miles from the castlecomer discovery park, with zip wire and climbing wall also tree canopy climbs..Castlecomer also has a no of exceptional restaurants and plenty of pubs. We are also only 8 miles from the historic city of Kilkenny. Great night life and shopping.
