    Description

    Kingfisher cottage accommodation is arranged over two floors the cottage enjoys a light and airy living space in the form of a lounge dining area with an open plan kitchen at one end, door and step to conservatory. There is a cloakroom on the ground floor with toilet and washbasin. The first floor consist of a bedroom kitted out with a king sized bed and en-suite bathroom with large double ended bath with hand shower, washbasin and toilet. The bedroom has unrestricted view over the grounds. Heating in the cottage is provided via a multi fuel log burner in the lounge as well as individual electric heating in each room. The kitchen area is equipped with a multi function microwave /convection oven and grill, a two ring Halogen ceramic hob, washing machine, fridge freezer, Iron and ironing board. The garden is in two sections a patio area which catches the sun most of the day and a lawn area surrounded by a wooden fence providing a secure area for your pets and privacy from the rest of the property. Bed linen and towels are provided. A maximum of two well behaved dogs welcome free of charge by prior arrangement. There is a private allocated parking space next to the cottage. Guests are free to wander through 1.5 acres of meadows and through a gated access to the lake, rich with flora and fauna. There is a picnic area overlooking the lakes, care must be taken with young children who must be accompanied at all times. An outdoor day kennel is available and can be booked through us during your stay.

    Location description

    Lew Barn is 1/4 of a mile from Bradworthy Square with its 16th Century inn and Norman Church. Bradworthy is a quiet rural village and is ideally placed for touring Devon and Cornwall. The North Devon coast is a 15 minute drive away. Lew Barn is suitable for guests wanting a quiet, relaxing break.

    Directions

    Junction 27 M5 take the A361 towards Barnstaple. At Barnstaple, take the A39 towards Bideford. Just before the River Torridge high level bridge turn right at traffic lights towards Torrington and Oakhampton (A386) (do not worry if you miss this turn as at the roundabout the other side of the bridge you can pick up the A386 which leads down though Bideford to the same long low bridge). At the roundabout follow A386, in Bideford at the first mini roundabout, turn right. You will then go over a long low bridge, at the mini roundabout turn left A386. Follow this road for a short distance and turn left at the next roundabout towards Torrington A386. After about a mile take (by a white Bungalow) a right turn towards Bradworthy. Stay on this road for 12 1/2 miles; you will see Lew Barn on the left. If you reach the village, you have gone too far.
    Alternatively follow the M5 on to the A30 then take the second turn for Okehampton marked for Holsworthy A386 (approx 28 miles from end of M5), follow this road for approx a mile then take the A3079 for Holsworthy at the roundabout, which will lead onto the A3072. From Holsworthy, take the A3072 towards Bude. Take the second turn to Bradworthy by the Texaco garage. Stay on this road until you reach Bradworthy Square. Take the right turn to Bideford, and you will find Lew Barn on the right after approx.1/4mile.
