Description
Ysyhia is the Greek word for tranquillity. The cottage is far enough from civilisation to be astonishingly quiet and restful yet close enough to be convenient for shops, beaches and eating out. And of course the view is stunning, with no light pollution, the night sky is bursting with stars. No other buildings can be seen from the cottage and none overlook it. Our house is up the hill from the cottage on the same 1˝ acre plot. Each house has its own private access and a fence separates the “farm” from the cottage and its garden. A grove of olive and almond trees provide each house with total privacy from one another but we are on hand should you want help or advice. This is truly a place to unwind, relax and imagine that you are alone in the world. But, when you want to venture out to shops, beaches or tavernas, all can be found within a 3km radius.
The bedroom has air conditioning, a standard double bed, two bedside units with reading lights and two wardrobes with interchangeable shelves to accommodate full length hanging when required. French doors open out to the shaded pergola and a view straight out from the bed to the sea.
The bathroom has a natural pebble floor with open-plan shower, a washbasin set into a natural marble surface and a toilet you can flush paper down. There is also a washing machine, iron and ironing board in the lobby between the bathroom and the living room.
The kitchen is part of the main living room and is equipped with; fridge-freezer, combi-microwave oven, ceramic hob and twin sinks. Cupboard units above and below the granite worksurface, kettle, toaster and juice extractor.
The living room has dining table and chairs, internet access, built-in sofas, CD and DVD player and smart TV. We also provide a local mobile phone for use during your stay. There are books, DVDs, games and a hairdryer, as well as storage space in which to hide your luggage.
Ysyhia has its own small private pool with sun-lounging area plus a barbecue and a shaded pergola for outdoor dining.
The cottage is cleaned and the linen changed prior to your arrival. We provide bathroom, pool and beach towels. Fresh towels and bed linen are provided weekly.
The property is unsuitable for children.
There is really good water pressure in the shower etc. and you can flush loo paper down the toilet, you don't have to put it in a bin beside the loo. We recommend that you rent a car and we can help you to arrange this.
The cottage is priced per night in Euros. We offer 14 nights for the price of 13 because one week is never enough to enjoy the island as much as you would like to.

Not far from the church of Agios Ioannis Sto Kastri which featured in the film Mamma Mia, plus plenty of other locations from the film. The fabulously unspoilt traditional village of Glossa.
