    Description

    Worzel Cottage can be found at Scatterbrook Farm, Dulverton in Exmoor National Park. It is a lovely spacious ground floor property with a large modern kitchen, lounge with wood burner, 2 double bedrooms and sunny patio area outside.

    We are a 30 minute drive up through the beautiful Exe Valley from the M5 Motorway (Junction 27) and just 2 miles from the little town of Dulverton, where time sometimes seems to stand still. Where you can walk on a Saturday evening with the same relaxed calmness as you would during the day....

    Worzel Cottage sleeps four people in two double bedrooms. Freshly laundered linen, towels and the first 20 of your central heating per week are all included in your price and you also have a wood burning stove for those cosy winter evenings by the fire.

    This delightful light, modern and airy ground floor self catering holiday accommodation is peaceful and quiet where you can sit out on the patio and watch and listen to the wild birds, listen for the cuckoo and watch the buzzards flying over the nearby fields. Walkers, horse riders, twitchers and mountain bikers will all have a wealth of places to explore during their stay.

    Exmoor has a unique landscape with heather moorland, woodlands and valleys plus the added beauty of the coast with its rugged cliffs and bays. Visit the pretty thatched villages, sample the excellent local award winning tea rooms and pubs.

    The cottage is situated on a 28 acre farm which keeps sheep,
    lots of horses and just the one tame chicken who may well come to visit!

    Worzel Cottage is more than just a job to us we look forward to you coming and thrive on giving you a warm welcome, after which we will leave you in peace to enjoy the serenity of Scatterbrook Farm safe in the knowledge that we are here if needed.

    Do you like to wake up to birdsong? Have a leisurely breakfast on a secluded rose clad porch in the summer months or just watch the birds on the magnolia tree having breakfast with you from your dining table and maybe take a short stroll to the River Barle to walk it off afterwards.

    The rest of the day is your oyster, picnic on the moor, go horse riding, see the sea, fly your kite, go fishing, ride your bike, visit places of interest or just relax and maybe star- gaze the evening away. Its all here for you. Just come and try it. You don't know what your missing!

    Location description

    Popular country town of Dulverton is just 2 miles away where you will find lots of interesting shops, excellent award winning tea rooms and restaurants. Visit Winsford, Dunster Castle, Minehead, West Somerset Railway, Tarr Steps, Lynton and Lynmouth and lots more places during your stay

    Directions

    From the M5 Junction 27 take the A361 North Devon Link Road (signed Barnstaple). At the first roundabout turn right up the A396 and follow the signs to Dulverton up through the Exe Valley.
    At the Exeter Inn roundabout take the first exit and at the Black Cat Junction go straight across for Dulverton.
    At Machine Cross take the left turn signposted Dulverton. After about 1 mile you will go past the Rock Inn on your right then turn right after approx 100metres into the Square. The Post Office will now be facing you. Take the road beside the post office sign posted Exford. This road follows the River Barle on its left for about a mile. Take the left fork at Marsh Bridge and you will pass over a small iron bridge (painted white and red). Go up the hill for about 1 mile. After the road levels out at the top Scatterbrook Farm and Worzel Cottage are the next properties on the right. (Note: if you get to Five Ways Cross you have gone about 1/4 mile too far!)
