A luxury holiday cottage with a spectacular view. The picturesque village of Crackington Haven is the perfect base, from which to explore Cornwall's rugged North Cornish Coast.

Glentruan is a delightful detached cottage nestling within a superb two acre plot with breathtaking panoramic views of the countryside and the Atlantic Ocean beyond. Located in the small and peaceful hamlet of Pencuke about a mile and a half from the coast at Crackington Haven, a designated Area of Outstanding Beauty (ANOB). Located within approximately an hours drive of Exeter between Boscastle and Bude, one mile from the Atlantic Highway (A39). An ideal location to explore the North Coast of Cornwall, North Devon and beyond.
Originally a farm cottage, the main part of the house is over 200 years old and was completely renovated, with a large modern extension added in 2010 to a very high standard. Timber A frames and local rag slate complete the effect resulting in an eco-friendly building enjoying solar power and all modern amenities, that blends superbly with its natural surroundings.
Glentruan has a very traditional cottage appearance from the outside, but inside you will find a stylish and spacious open plan living space which blends old and new effortlessly.
The large modern kitchen area is well equipped and includes a built in double oven, 5 burner gas hob, large fridge and dishwasher.
The dining area has a broad oak table with seating for 6, the floor to ceiling windows give outstanding views overlooking the garden and valley.
There are also french doors onto the patio and garden beyond - a perfect sun trap for that morning cuppa!
In the utility area you will find a washing machine and upright freezer.
The spacious downstairs living area has a wood burning stove and double french doors leading to a sheltered courtyard garden with seating and barbeque.
The ground floor bedroom has two single beds and easy access to the ground floor bathroom, with WC, basin and luxurious walk in shower.
Chunky open tread oak stairs lead you to the main living room with vaulted ceiling and A frames, solid oak flooring and fabulous view over the valley to the Atlantic Ocean beyond. There is plenty of space and comfy sofas to enjoy a good book or film or just enjoy the view.
The master bedroom has lots of character with its original A frames, king size bed and plenty of space for travel cot if required.

By Car
Take the M5 to Exeter.
• After Exeter, take the A30 to Bodmin. Cross the Tamar Bridge into Cornwall and just after Launceston take the turn the Kennards House turn off, the A395.
• Continue through Pipers Pool to the pub at Hallworthy, the Wilsey Down.
•Take the second turning on the right after the Wilsey Down turn onto the B3262, signposted to Bude.
• Once you meet the A39 - Atlantic Highway, turn right (signposted to Bude), ignore signs for Crackington Haven, after about 3miles (and a steep downhill section), there is a turning to your left signposted Boscastle, the B3263.
• After half a mile you will see a turning to your right signposted Pencuke, head down this small country lane.
• Just opposite Pencuke Farm on your left, you will see a bumpy farm lane to your right and an area of green, take this track - Glentruan Cottage is the second house on your left.
