The property provides an excellent gateway or base to discover the many delights and sites of Dorset. The South West Coastal Path is a short distance away for excellent walking and spectacular views of the Jurassic coastline, including Durlston Country Park.
For children there are many attractions including: Putlake Adventure Farm; model villages at Corfe/Wimborne; the Tank Museum,Bovington; Monkey World; Splash Down/Bowling,Tower Park; the unique Rex cinema at Wareham; and fossil hunting on the seashore.
Sea & course fishing, water sports and stables within easy reach and three golf courses in less than a ten minute drive away.
Visit the NT properties at Corfe Castle, Kingston Lacey and take a boat to Brownsea Island as well as visit the sites at Lulworth Cove, Durdle Door, Athelhampton, Hardy's Cottage/Max Gate and Lulworth Castle.
The two bedroomed thatched cottage was developed by its operatic owners in the 1930's as a retreat for artists, musicians and dancers from London. The property has a number of Public Footpaths and Bridleways close by, and it possible to walk over the fields to Corfe Castle, and over the hill to the beaches of Studland Bay/Swanage and up on to the coastal path.
