Description
Yew Tree Cottage is a charming Cotswold stone period cottage, set in the beautiful village of Willersey which was the winner of the ‘Cotswold Life’ Village of the Year 2005.
Dating from approximately 1850, this is an ideal family retreat set behind a pretty front garden with mature trees and shrubs overlooking the attractive village green and duck pond. Mallards and their offspring can be seen waddling around the footpaths and settling in villagers’ gardens - a lovely sight.
Within a short stroll there are two local inns serving excellent food, a post office and a general store serving most needs including your daily newspaper and freshly baked bread and buns!
The cottage is within yards of open countryside and ideally placed to visit the surrounding Cotswold villages of Broadway (just over a mile away), Chipping Camden, Stow on the Wold and Stratford upon Avon (with the Royal Shakespeare Company theatre) is approximately 10 miles away. Artists, ramblers and cyclists will find plenty to see.
The accommodation retains much of the charm and character of the original building which has been modernised to provide complete comfort and convenience. All rooms have been decorated in keeping with the character of the cottage and have been very well furnished and equipped.

Kitchen - fully fitted in cream shaker style with deep white sink, with oven, hob, dishwasher, fridge and washing machine.
Conservatory - leading through to the garden.
First floor:
Bedroom 1 - with King sized wrought iron double bed. (Spare pull out bed for occasional use.) Television.
Bedroom 2 - with double bed and single bed.
Bedroom 3 - with twin beds.
Bathroom - large room with pine wood strip flooring with bath, over bath shower, wash basin and W.C.
Shower Room/wc Newly fitted shower, wash basin and wc.
Outside:
Attractive rear garden - with secluded lawn, patio and table with chairs.
Front garden - with two car parking spaces.

Gas cooker, colour television and video, washing machine and dish washer, fridge/freezer etc. gas central heating. Open fire. Rental includes linen, heating and electricity. Location description
Broadway in Worcestershire is known as ‘The Jewel Of the Cotswolds’.
The High Street is lined with ancient Cotswold Stone buildings dating back to 16th Century. One of the towns oldest and best known buildings is The Lygon Arms said to be the most famous inn in England and can boast famous visitors such as Charles I and Oliver Cromwell.
Broadway although popular is quite unspoilt and uncommercial. There are high quality small specialist shops, galleries and antique shops, many restaurants, tea shops and bistros, banks, a library, small local schools and beautiful churches.
Broadway Tower is the highest point in The Cotswolds overlooking 12 counties from the observation room.
Built for Lord and Lady Coventry in 1797 and designed by James Wyatt the architect as a mock castle.

From the North - Take the M6 to Junction 8 and then onto the M5 Southbound to Junction 7. Follow the A44 signposted Evesham/Oxford and head for Broadway. Then take the B4632 signposted to Willersey.
From the South West - take the M5 to Junction 9 then follow the A46 to Evesham. Take the A44 signposted to Oxford and head for Broadway. Then take the B4632 signposted to Willersey.
From London/South East - Take the M40 to Junction 8 and then follow the A40 to Oxford. Next take the A44 towards Evesham/Broadway. Then take the B4632 signposted to Willersey.
