North Hill Cottage Amenities
Indoor Swimming Pool - you can't always predict the British Weather. We all know this and just in case it’s not like the tropics outside, we have a 33ft long, indoor heated swimming pool for your enjoyment - with changing room, shower and W.C.
Alongside the main pool and also indoors is a toddler pool which is 0.65m (just over 2ft) deep, where those who can't swim unaided can be supervised safely. Both are heated to a comfortable 28-31°C.
If you just want to chill out, slip into the Jacuzzi, perfect for relaxing and letting your troubles drain away. This is heated to between 36-40°C.

Location description
Originally a working farm North Hill is situated 1 mile up a valley teeming in wildlife with it's own approach lane that is not shared with any other property. You really feel away from it all although only 4 miles for Barnstaple the "capital" of North Devon and 25 mins from some of the best sandy beaches in the whole of the country.
Directions
Leave the M5 at Junction 27 and follow the A361 to Barnstaple.
When you approach Barnstaple there are two options to get to North Hill.
Option 1 takes you through Barnstaple which can be very busy at peak times with slow moving traffic. This is the route if you want to visit Tesco or shops on the way in.
Option 2 bypasses Barnstaple and is recommended if you don’t want shops.
Option 1
As you approach Barnstaple turn right at the roundabout sign-posted A39 to Lynton and the Hospital. Follow signs to the Hospital which involves several roundabouts with right turns. Proceed until you see the hospital on your right and go straight through the lights. At this point I would recommend you switch off the SatNav as it will not take you to North Hill despite you having entered the right postcode.
Shortly after this turn left on the B3230 signposted Ilfracombe and Blakewell Fisheries. After about ˝ mile turn right opposite the entrance to Blakewell Fisheries. After Ľ mile turn left signed North Hill and follow the mile long drive. Please take it slowly over the speed bumps. There are three strategically placed grass passing places on the right in the unlikely event that you meet any traffic.
Option 2
As you approach Barnstaple at the roundabout turn left signposted Bideford (A39) and Bude A361. At the Bishops Taunton Junction Roundabout go straight on. At Lake Roundabout turn right to Barnstaple and Ilfracombe A361. At Sticklepath Junction go straight on over the new bridge signposted Ilfracombe A361. Get in right hand lane as you approach lights and at second set turn right signposted Lynton A39 and Town Centre. At next lights filter and turn left signposted Lynton & Ilfracombe. At next lights opposite BP garage turn left signposted Lynton and Ilfracombe and Hospital.
Proceed until you see the hospital on your right and go straight through the lights. At this point I would recommend you switch off the SatNav as it will not take you to North Hill despite you having entered the right postcode.
