    Description

    As the highest cottage in the small Scottish village of Ault na Chruinne, Tigh an Allt boasts some of the most breath taking views across Loch Duich, The Five Sisters of Kintail and Mam Ratagan. The warm well furnished cottage is an ideal holiday home for anyone looking to explore this magnificent landscape.
    Inside the cottage the views remain incredible and it will be hard for anyone to not look out one of the many windows.

    The triple aspect lounge is perfect for relaxing and watching TV and if you want to see some of the wildlife in the area up close a telescope has been set up to help. You may catch a glimpse of dolphins, seals. porpoises, otters and birds including the eagle or peregrines. The large sliding doors lead to a patio with picnic table and chairs.

    A modern kitchen and utility room are well equipped to help you with any catering needs during your holiday and a separate dining room is ideal for celebrating a special occasion.

    The main master bedroom overlooking the rear garden has its own en-suite bathroom complete with Jacuzzi bath and built in shower.
    The twin and bunk bedroom share the family bathroom, which has the additional bonus of a two person Swedish Sauna.

    Outside the garden is well sheltered and a number of local birds will visit the garden, nuts are provided to attract birds to feed. Deer are also known to wonder down from the high ground, sometimes coming close to the cottage.

    Tigh an Aullt Cottage is approached via the awe inspiring Cluanie Glen. Situated at the foot of the Five Sisters of Kintail the cottage has outstanding views across Loch Duich. The pretty village of Ault na Chruinne is just a short walk away with its own shop and pub.
    Skye Bridge is only 15 miles away so a visit to the Scottish Island is a must. Applecross home to world famous restaurants and a beautiful sandy beach is also within easy reach.

    Most stunning..!!

    I was bold as to book a week here with the intention of relaxing. Just chilling taking a walk around the loche over the week. How wrong I was . Not only is this beautiful cottage well maintained with the most stunning view in all weather's. You would be foolish to just stay in this abode all week if you have transport. It would only take an hour and ten minutes to go from here to Inverness on the other side of Scotland. Never mind heading south to Fort William or Glen coe. 15 minutes drive to sky passing the famous Eileen Donna castle .if you walk across the bridge on Lochearnhead Duich you will see on the hill a rock statue of a great McLean and a 3rd century church ruin. As for the wild life from eagles to deer and stags to the many other wildlife. There simply is something for everybody. Even if it's just taking in the fresh air and walking round the loch. Cosy open fire with all amenities. Well worth the money well worth the visit. It's my ideal holiday. 😊
    Although my date of visit may be out slitley I will return to this place within the next year..!!
