Description
The Strait Quay is a brand new (complete 2011) development of luxury service apartments / condos built by the E&O Group, owners of the famous 5 * E&O Hotel sharing many of the architectural styles of this iconic colonial building. The ground floor is commercial shops and restaurants build around a marina, this has a very Mediterranean feel to it. The 2nd floor are most high end shops with a number of boutique outlets such as beauticians and spa’s.
The condos are on the floors above with this condo on the 4th floor and is rear facing. The 4th floor is the level with the connection bridges over to the swimming pool, gym and tennis courts which are built on top of the multi story private car park. This makes access to the facilities quick, easy and hassle free with out the need to use the lifts or stairs.
Everything about the development is high quality and the luxury fittings are everywhere to see all internal common areas are natural stone floor which plenty of tropical hard woods on the walls etc. No expense has been spared to make this development a luxury experience to live and stay in.
Once you enter through the solid hard wood door you will step into the open plan living room / dinning room with kitchen on the side. The ceiling is high and the floors are the famous E&O signature ‘herring bone’ parquet wooden flooring. The furniture throughout the condo is top quality and carefully chosen to suit the condo perfectly. The dinning area is a natural stone counter top dividing the living room form the designer kitchen. The kitchen is fully equipped with all the appliances that you will need to during you holiday.
The master suite consists of a large bedroom with kingsize bed, hard wood furniture and flat screen TV and DVD complete with satellite ASTRO TV. Through French doors lead to a private balcony with chairs and table. From the bedroom there is a small dressing with built in wardrobes and this leads on to the amazing luxury bathroom. This has large sunken bath with TV! There are double sinks and a WC and shower both separated by in their own glass cubical. The entire bathroom is finished in natural stone.
The 2nd bedroom is a twin room fitted with two single beds, this bedroom opens onto the main balcony. Opposite the bedroom off the hall there is a shower room and W/C.
The main living room has comfortable sitting and coffee table and large flat screen TV and DVD complete with satellite ASTRO TV. The main balcony is through a set of French doors and has table and chairs.
The condo is full air conditioned with additional ceiling fans in both the bedrooms.

Location description
Straits Quay is a brand new development built on the water frontage around a marina and is situate on the north coast of the island of Penang. The location is ideal as it is conveniently situated for the city of Georgetown being only 5km for the city centre. It is 2km away for Gurney Drive a famous water front avenue with a number of top hotels and restaurants along it.
Batu Ferringhi a popular beach resort is 10km further along the coast and is easily reached by the coastal road avoiding the busy traffic of Georgetown.
Penang International Airport is 22km away and has regular international flights from region hubs such as Singapore and Bangkok as was hourly connections to Malaysian capital Kuala Lumpur. Once arrived by plane the airport has good highway links to the historic city of Georgetown from where Straits Quay is a short drive along the northern coast out of town and is just a little further than the renowned Gurney Drive.
The ferry port which has numerous ferries hourly to Butterworth on the mainland as well as ferries to the island of Langkawi and to Sumatra in Indonesia is in the centre of Georgetown from where the Straits Quay is only a short drive away.

Taxi’s are cheap and plentiful at the airport and also available at the ferry port, the kiosk at the airport sells taxi tickets at the official rate with licensed cars and drivers.
The condo manager Patricia will meet all guests at the condo regardless of the arrival time and ensure that everyone is 100% comfortable and happy with the condo. Patricia has lived in Penang for many years and is very knowledgeable about the island of Penang and Malaysia.
Other activities
A fascinating fusion of the East and West, Penang embraces modernity while retaining its traditions and old world charm. These are reflected in its harmonious multiracial populace and well-preserved heritage buildings which led to George Town being accorded a listing as a UNESCO World Cultural Heritage Site recently. Long regarded as the food capital of Malaysia, Penang also entices visitors with its beautiful coasts and scrumptious cuisines.

While soaking in the sun at one of the many beautiful beaches is a must, visitors must bring along their most comfortable walking shoes because there is a whole new world to be explored in the quaint nooks and crannies of George Town. Offering the best of Asia, Penang 's sights and sounds reflect the colourful heritage of her many races and the pride of her people. Directions
There are a number of long haul carriers using Penang airport however most people arrive via one of the regional hubs either:- Kuala Lumpur, Singapore, Bangkok or Hong Kong. Penang is also a major hub for secondary airports with connections throughout South East Asia with carriers such as:- Malaysian Airlines, Air Asia and Fire Fire. It is possible to travel to Penang over land with the modern North/South Highway which runs the length of Malaysia from Thailand to Singapore. Though an Island Penang is contected to the mainland by the famous Penang Bridge as well as regular fwerries from Georgetown to Butterworth.

Regular weeks throughout year set at €750 per week, Christmas and New Year period €1,000; minimum period of 5 days. Rentals of 1 month or more please enquire for a special price.
Rates include all utility charges, water & electricity. Towels & Bed linen. Satellite TV package.
All hotel services are on account as a pay as you use basis, taking & paying for as much or as little as you desire through the E&O Concierge Services.
A €250 security deposit is payable on arrival in the currency of your choice and refunded on departure subject to any breakages and losses.
