The small town of Auchterarder is a short walk away, where you will find Pubs, cafe, restaurants, banks, post office, medical, dentist, chemist, supermarkets.

Location description
This is a peaceful location yet close to all major road networks to tour all of Scotland easily. Locally there is horse riding, shooting, fishing, walking, bike rides and golf. The large town of Perth is ten minutes from the lodge. Perth City Centre is situated in the heart of Scotland and is a consistent winner of Beautiful Britain award. It is home to a community of eclectic retailers, atmospheric eateries, a bustling shopping centre plus many other services and cultural experiences. In Perth City Centre you can shop, eat and be entertained - its an ideal place to spend the day.

Local events
There are many Highland games throughout the summer months in the local villages. They are held locally in May July and two in August. Visitors to the Games can enjoy a full list of events including throwing the hammer, tossing the caber, putting the shot, tug o war, athletics, track and field events and dancing, plus side shows, trade and refreshment stands.
Tourist attractions
The city of Perth is only 10 miles away. Gleneagles world class golf course is five minutes from the lodge. Great area for fishing and we also have a river adjacent to the lodge. Enjoy Perthshire's rich whisky heritage and visit the local distilleries. Museums, art galleries and Historic houses.
Directions
If you are not driving the train may be the best option as the main line from Inverness to London passes through Gleneagles station.Then a taxi for 3miles to the lodge.All the budget airlines come into Edinburgh and then hire a car or taxi to the lodge.
