Description
6 Berth Lodge style holiday home set in Badgers retreat Nr Richmond. Badgers retreat is set in 26 acres of grounds and is located between the Yorkshire Dales and the North Yorkshire Moors. This "platinum" lodge has sleeping accommodations for up to 6 people, you can entertain the whole family in comfort and style.
The sumptuous living area has plenty of seating with a feature fireplace so you can stay warm and cosy. The living room has a large flat screen TV with freeview and built in DVD for kicking back after an eventful day.
The modern kitchen features LED plinth and under unit lighting and all the appliances you need to cook the perfect meal. To make cleanup easier there is also a built-in dishwasher and washer dryer. The bedrooms are simple and stylish with loads of storage space.
The family bathroom boasts a bathtub for the relaxing holiday you deserve. The connected ensuite provides another toilet.
A large sliding patio door gives you direct access to your own decking so you can truly connect with the outdoors on your holiday. Kick back and enjoy your favourite tipple on the decked patio. The decking is fully lit, on warmer nights you could continue to enjoy the outside space after dark.
Finally you could enjoy some time in the hot tub with your loved one for that special time away.
Badgers Retreat, as the name suggests, is full of wildlife, not nightlife, and is the reason that so many people have chosen to invest in a holiday lodge here. The park has a wide array of natures finest including badgers, deer, rabbits, and a whole host of bird life too.
From the heather clad moorlands to the spectacular Swale and Wharf Rivers, natural beauty is all around giving you a sense of well-being and serenity. The region offers impressive landscapes which can easily be explored on foot or by bike.
A wide array of castles, historic houses and quaint towns and villages ensure you will never run out of things to discover. The nearby market town of Richmond is home to a Norman Castle, Abbey Ruins and some wonderful specialty shops and charming country pubs. Here you can also discover the most complete Georgian Playhouse (The Georgian Theatre Royal) in the UK and learn more about lead mining with a visit to the fascinating Richmondshire Museum. A farmers market is held in the marketplace on the 3rd Saturday of the month. For further information on things to do in the area go to www.richmond.org
Other nearby market towns worth a visit include Leyburn and Bedale, where you can view important historic buildings and impressive churches. Real ale lovers should head for the Black Sheep Brewery at Masham where you can experience how the ale is made and sample some of the end produce.
There is also something for those who like to be by the sea, as just across the moors youll find some of the most spectacular coastlines the country has to offer, including the much-loved maritime town of Whitby, famous for its associations with Dracula and Captain Cook and more recently host to 2 episodes of The Grand Tour.
Head a little further South and you will discover the world famous Scarborough: as Britains first holiday resort, Scarborough offers everything from superb beaches to historic gems.
Should you want to catch a movie, there is an excellent Empire cinema located a short way away by car or cab in Caterrick on the Princess Gate shopping and leisure park.

If out and about around the Catterick area and you feel like dining out try out Asha the Indian restaurant. If pub food is more your fancy try out the Bay Horse or the Hildyard Arms. For cracking fish and chips you could try Catterick Village Fisheries. Check them all out on Trip Advisor.
The lodge is cited on a Wyldecrest park site but is owned privately and we use the Wyldecrest booking system to take bookings and payments. We can and will however communicate with you personally through this site.
Change over days are Monday/Friday dependant on the break you book. There is a little flexibility in the booking system but not much.
