Description
Squirrels Leap Lodge is set on a quiet area of the park opposite the lake. Once inside the lodge is all on one level. On entering you walk into the utility room which houses the large fridge freezer and washing machine. From there into the well equipped kitchen which has an electric oven, gas hob, microwave, kettle, toaster, dishwasher and all the tools that you require to cook your meals. It even has a hatch to pass meals through to the dining area.
In the spacious hall way there is a coat rack and door to the opposite side of the lodge.
The lounge/dining room is spacious with two windows one being a bay. Relax after a day at the beach on the large leather sofas a two seater and three seater. There is an abundance of information books on the bookshelf to help you plan your holiday. Cosy up for the night and choose from the vast amount of DVD's, board games or even a jigsaw puzzle.
The double bedroom had a TV, an ensuite with shower, handbasin and toilet, a large walk in wardrobe and a dressing table.
The twin room has 2 single beds each with a bedside table. There is also plenty of storage space in this room with a dressing table and large floor to ceiling double wardrobes.
The family bathroom has a toilet, a hand basin and full size bath.
Outside the lodge is accessed up 4 steps onto the decking which wraps around to the back where there is a large wooden picnic table with benches and 2 chairs. This area is very secluded so is ideal to kick back with a beverage and a book or just sit and watch the wildlife at the feeders from birds of all varieties to squirrels and even deer are regular visitors to our neighbours plum trees!
At the front of the property there is enough room for 2 cars to park on the drive.
Felmoor Country Park is an ideal base for those wanting to be in a rural setting yet not too far to travel to all local attractions. The park has its own bar and restuarant The Crazy Horse Saloon which also holds a bingo night, singers, bands, karaoke nights and much more including a games room downstairs. All guests can use facilities on our neighbouring site which is accessed via the bridge and walkway by the lake. These include a small shop, a large play area, The Timeout Tavern and a launderette.
Northumberland Zoo is a stones throw away only 1 mile along a quick road so makes it easy to walk to.
Further afield you can be on a beach within half an hour and the same if you wish to visit Alnwick Castle and Garden.
Basically the ideal place to base yourself for your Northumberland getaway!!

Felmoor Park is located approximately 9 miles north of Morpeth and 9 miles south of Alnwick just off the A1.
There is a large Wyldecrest sign at the entrance to Felmoor Country Park. Also during the day there is a large yellow van advertising Northumberland Zoo. Heading from the north you turn left here. From the south you cross the carriageway to the entrance on the left. Turn immediately left through the cream coloured walled entrance.
