Explore the hills and dales of both Derbyshire and The Peak District from here, with spectacular views of the Amber Valley just round the corner behind the house ideal for an evenings walk and watch the sun go down.
Perfect for cyclists and site seeing, it is not far from the town center and its recently Award winning High Street, on foot, by car or by local bus for unique shops and award winning restaurants and pubs with the famous North Mill a UNESCO world heritage site plus a market every second Saturday of the month all lure you into this historic mill town.

Our beautiful house is perfect for a holiday away with family and friends, ideal for families, the house is very child friendly with a secure gated area and at the back around the corner from the house is a secure children's play area with swings and slides.

With two bedrooms –
Bedroom 1 - A spacious room has a king size bed with a memory topped mattress, two wardrobes, a dresser, drawer storage providing ample storage space, 2 bedside cabinets with lamps, a hairdryer the room comes with views of Belper town.
Bedroom 2 - This bedroom comes with a double bed that has a memory foam topped mattress, a perfect second bedroom complete with drawer storage, 2 bedside cabinets with lamps the room comes with views of Belper town.
All duvets which are Fogarty Goose feather and down and both are King size , pillows, bed linen, Christy towels and kitchen towels are provided.
**Non Allergenic duvets are available for both beds on request**
Bathroom - Is a pristine 3 piece white suite and has a power shower this is situated over the bath, bath towels, hand towels and a selection of quality hand soaps carex and Luxury toiletries The White Company included.
Hall -There is ample space for wet coats, muddy boots, brollies and hats in the dedicated hall storage area.
Walking poles, rucksacks, Thermos flasks and a Picnic rucksack that has plates, glasses, cutlery and a wine cooler are also available for guests to use.
The house has gas central heating and provides you with lots of hot water.
We welcome children of all ages. For families we offer:-
A travel cot and high chair. Please arrange this prior to your arrival so the cot can be made up.
Bedding for the travel cot in the form of top and bottom sheets, lots of fleece blankets and other blankets and a 4 tog duvet these are washed in Fairy non bio & Fairy fabric conditioner but if you would rather bring your baby's own bedding then please do so.
A safe environment a fully enclosed garden with a secure gate, all unused power sockets are fitted with plug covers and the cupboards have flexi locks fitted prior to arrival.
Bath toys and a selection of Johnsons baby products.
A variety of books and jigsaws.
Just around the corner from the house is a secure play park that has swings, slides and roundabouts for children.
Details of activities and tourist attractions for children in the form of leaflets.
Kitchen:- There is a fully equipped kitchen to a high standard with everything from Denby crockery as standard, electric double oven and hob, a new washer/dryer, microwave, dishwasher, fridge/freezer. cutlery, iron and ironing board, radio and more, a variety of extras including sugar, Coffee, fruit teas, herbal teas, hot chocolate, decaff coffee and decaff tea, washing up liquid, toilet rolls, soap, washing machine liquid and softener and dishwasher tablets, kitchen roll along with condiments, cling film, bin bags, foil and lots of other items are also included as standard from the kitchen there is access straight into the fully enclosed private child friendly rear garden.
Living / Dining Room The living/dining room has two very comfortable brown leather sofas a three seater and two seater.
The 40″ flat wide screen television has built in freeview along with a video player and Dvd player, there is also PS2 with a range of games and a Radio/CD stereo player.

The property is thoroughly cleaned before each letting, if you are staying for more than one week you will be provided with additional linen and towels.
All guests receive a welcome pack of 4pt milk, coffee, jam, Chocolates/biscuits, wine and flowers
At festive times extra attention is made with Easter eggs for children, if children are staying i always provide little treats for them as standard.
Come spend Christmas time in Derbyshire stunning countryside, Christmas fairs and carol concerts. A beautifully decorated Christmas tree ready and waiting bubbly and chocolates on your arrival.
A visitor file is provided giving information on tourist attractions in the area, an extensive range of walking/touring books and a wide selection of leaflets are also available on what to do and where to go, walks, cycle routes of the Derbyshire/The Peak District area, maps are available for Derby city centre and most of the major towns providing information on parking, restaurants and shopping,
Adult Board games ie:- Scrabble etc, children's Jigsaws and children's books are also provided for those rainy days, although there is a lot to do in Derbyshire/The Peak District in the rain.
Garden
Guest can make use of the private south facing garden, which is fully enclosed with a dry stone wall at the end of the garden, not over -looked by anyone, this is very child friendly as there is a small fence and gate.
It is the perfect spot for a pre-dinner drink as the sun goes down or even an al fresco dinner in summer on the patio, table and chairs provided on a sunny terrace. Barbecue facilities are provided.
Driveway
Private drive ample parking for two cars and room on the road out front for two more. This is a cul-de-sac so there is no through traffic just residents and the odd horse or two.
At the back of the house are fabulous views of the hills of the Derwent valley where you can sit and watch the sun go down.
There is a washing line and a rotary dryer for guests use.

Within 1/20 minutes
Round the corner from the house a minutes walk is an enclosed secure children's play park then over the stye straight onto the scenic Amber valley with plenty of walks leading to 3 pubs..
A 20 minute walk from your accommodation you will find the local Country Pub where you will also be able to enjoy a meal too. There is also an outdoor front terrace.
Belper town center is a 20 minute walk providing all the usual amenities. There is an hourly train service to Derby (12 minutes) and from there you will be able to take national connections. Belper has a good selection of pubs and a variety of restaurants including; Thai, Italian and Indian and an award winning fish and chip restaurant "Georges"
Fresh Basil is a Deli and eaterie on Strutt Street this was voted "Best Derbyshire Breakfast" at the prestigious Derbyshire Food and Drink Awards held at Chatsworth House January 2013 and 2014
You can choose from learning more about the areas vast industrial heritage and visit the famous Strutts North Mill if you wish to learn more visit www.belpernorthmill.org. This has been recognised by UNESCO as a site of world heritage.
Belper River Gardens is among'st the finest in the country and has won many awards for best gardens this is next to the famous Strutts Mill lovely to sit or wander through the extensive gardens and enjoy a summers evening listening to some of the local bands playing.
There is a factory shop in the heart of Belper known as De- Bradelei Mill shop this has a wide range of products from soft furnishings to designer clothes and shoes this is well worth a visit.
The wider area
Even with the typically unpredictable English climate, the peak district offers you breathtaking landscapes and plenty of places to explore. On a perfect summers day it feels like the best place on earth, a holiday here is nothing short of a walkers paradise.
A couple of miles down the road is the world famous Denby potteries you can choose from a tour around the factory, cookery demonstrations or shop at the many shops available on site and pick up a bargain for more information visit www.denby.co.uk
There are many spectacular hill and dale walks to choose from amongst them Dovedale and the famous stepping stones and Lathkill Dale. The towns of Bakewell, Matlock, Ashbourne and Buxton are a short drive away with historic buildings nearby such as Haddon Hall and the magnificent Chatsworth House and Kedleston Hall where the recent film "The Duchess" the life of Georgiana the 5th Duke of Devonshires wife was filmed.
We are situated in an ideal location for visiting the many major attractions the Peak District has to offer. Chatsworth House is only a 30 minute drive away and Alton Towers is an hour.
Walkers can enjoy The Tissington, High Peak and Manifold Trail, whilst families can venture down caves, travel high above in a cable car or wander around the many Farmers' Markets, Belper has a farmers market every second Saturday of the month 9am - 2pm. With Manchester, Sheffield, Nottingham in about an hours drive and Derby 20 minutes drive, shoppers will have field day! There's loads to do with the kids too - come rain or shine! The active will be spoilt for choice; rock climbing, mountain biking, pot holing, gliding, ballooning - the list goes on. Don't worry if this all sounds too energetic though - we are surrounded by some of the prettiest villages in England to take a leisurley stroll around where you can enjoy an afternoon tea or a pint of real ale in the local pub after your walk or perhaps you will be lucky enough to discover a village which is celebrating its well-dressing festival, for which Derbyshire villages are famous. BY AIR - The nearest airport is East Midlands International.
From the airport you will have approximately a 30 minute car journey.
BY RAIL - From Derby there is a 12 minute train journey into Belper. Services run hourly.
BUS SERVICE - There is an excellent public transport service from Belper where you are able to access all surrounding towns and cities
Midland Rail - Belper Station is 5 minutes by car or taxi to the house, but can be walked to in about 15 minutes.
TAXI - You will find the taxi rank next to the Train station where there will always be taxis waiting.
There is also a bus route stopping at the end of the road to the house these run every 30 minutes before 9am then hourly thereafter, you can also catch the bus up to the property as the bus station is not far from the Train station.
From the South M1 Junc 26, Take the A610 to Ambergate, then the A6 into Belper
From the North M1 Junc 28, take the A38 to Ripley, then the A610 to Ambergate, then the A6 to Belper

Deposit/Booking Notes
Rates quoted are for 7 nights starting Saturday but this is flexible and can be any day of arrival and includes electricity, heating, linen/towels and a host of extras.
Arrival times 12pm ~ 2pm and leave by 10am, on same day changeovers the arrival time is from 4pm we will let you know if the property is ready earlier than this. I try to be as flexible as possible on times and days you stay ~ Please contact me to discuss your holiday requirements.
NB:- please note I do not do short breaks, the minimum stay I do is 7 days.
25% of rental fee on booking, balance is due 8 weeks prior to your arrival.
Refundable breakages deposit of Ł100.00 is required when final payment is due, to be refunded within two weeks of your departure.
