    Seal Cottage - Self Catering Cottage in Beadnell

    Our Cottage has been upgraded over the winter to make it even more comfortable and welcoming for all our guests.

    Beadnell Bay, with its unspoilt sandy beach, is a few minutes walk along the sea front. The quiet Haven Beach is a very, flat, short walk, as is the village which has 2 pubs both serving meals and one with a very good restaurant. We have a lovely well stocked village shop/newsagents and a Fish and Chip shop (seasonal). Both are on the sea front. It is an excellent base from which to explore Northumberland's Heritage Coastline, with all it has to offer.

    Accommodation
    Entrance Porch for outdoor wear with heated rail for drying coats and outdoor wear. I hope you won't need to use it.

    Lounge/ Dining room - This spacious, room has comfortable leather sofas, dining table and chairs, Flatscreen TV + digital freeview box, Video/DVD player, Radio/CD player. Storage heater and electric fire.

    Fully fitted kitchen Very well equipped with electric hob and oven, microwave, fridge/ freezer, washing machine, toaster etc

    Double Bedroom Extremely comfortable double bed (that's what all the guests tell me), fitted furniture, bedside lighting, electric panel heater.

    Shower room - Fully tiled with shower cubicle (safety hand rail), good quality electric shower, whb and WC, radiator/ towel rail bathroom cabinet with light and shaver/ toothbrush socket

    Outside:
    Dog Friendly, enclosed garden with patio and garden furniture and line drying.
    Shed with tumble drier.
    Private off street parking for one car in a car park or you can park in the cul-de-sac as it is quiet.

    We live locally so we can help you with lots of information.

    There are two pubs, both serving bar and restaurant meals, within a five minute stroll of the bungalow. You can take your dog into designated areas. They also have gardens where you can sit in the sun.There is also a really lovely Cafe/bistro.

    Location description

    The coastline of North Northumberland is well known for its sandy beaches and superb scenery along with its picturesque villages overlooked by magnificent castles.
    The historic village of Beadnell lies just a few miles east of the main A1 that links Edinburgh with Newcastle-upon-Tyne, but despite this, it remains off the beaten track and as a result has not been spoilt by over-development.
    Just off this stretch of coastline, lie the Farne Islands. Well known by SCUBA divers and naturalists alike, these islands are host to a diverse cross section of marine life and coastal species. Boat trips to the Farnes can be arranged from Seahouses, 2 miles north of Beadnell.
    There are interesting market towns in the region. Alnwick with its majestic castle, famous gardens and weekly market is only 12 miles away. Morpeth and Berwick both a scenic 25 mile drive.
    A visit to the region would not be complete without a visit to Holy Island. (Tide times can be checked at Seahouses or on line).
    We live in a golfer's paradise...Seahouses, Bamburgh, Dunstanburgh, Goswick, Alnwick to name but a few.
    Budle Bay and Beadnell Bay are a birdwatchers delight.
    Young or old, walker, bird-watcher, golfer or sandcastle builder the area has something for everyone.

    There isn't an outside shower but there is tap if you come back with a muddy dog or muddy wellies.

    There is abus service from Berwick train station. It is easier if you have a car but I have a lady who comes without a car for 4 weeks every year and she enjoys travelling around on the bus. The bus service is hourly in the summer.
    Services: Linen provided, Towels provided, Cleaning included
    The bungalow is cleaned very thoroughly before each let.
    I provide linen and a set of towels per person, tea towels, pan scrubs, washing up liquid, kitchen towels, a welcome tray so you can have a drink and a biscuit when you arrive.
    In the kitchen there are basics like oil, condiments.
