Description
One of my guests emailed to me: "As you're aware most tourists appear to favour the Algarve, but we are so pleased that the itinerary we undertook was perfect for us!"
In fact, these guests, Michael and Helen from the UK, started by visiting Lisbon where the plane landed; then drove to my place (130km), visited Leiria and the region full of interesting sites, from old villages to monumental Unesco sites or beaches. After, they took the train to Porto where they spent 2 wonderful days. Then they came back home in Leiria, relaxed, tasted homemade food and good wines while enjoying the beauty of nature in our farm.
If you really want to opt for a different itinerary, why not try?
The House is in a 10-minute walk down the hill to the city. It offers a spacious double bedroom with private bathroom. This room allows one bed for one child (for free under seven). In case of a family of 4 (or 5), or a group of 4 friends, a smaller double room sharing the same bathroom can also be provided.
The terrace is a pleasant place to rest while enjoying nature or to have a meal.
Shared amenities and services: the necessary domestic appliances, Internet access; TV/Cable. Patio/Outdoor terrace, dining garden.
Children are welcome.
Pets are welcome but not inside the house.
The host will always be there to meet your needs or wishes :-)

Location description
Leiria is a small but interesting city with a beautiful castle and old historic center. At a close distance important UNESCO World Heritage Monuments can be visited (Monastery of Batalha, the Cister Abbey of Alcobaça, the templary Christ Convento of Tomar). The fortified beautiful town of Obidos is also close. The Atlantic Ocean can be reached in about half an hour in beautiful sandy beaches (Nazaré, Sao Pedro de Moel). Fatima Sanctuary can be reached by High Way (A1) in 30 minutes.

From Porto to Leiria 2 hours by car (highway A1);
Both from Lisbon and Porto Leiria can be reached by bus. Once in Leiria centre a call to the owner and you'll be at home in 10 minutes!
