Description
La Basse Cour B&B is a beautiful old farmhouse which predates the French Revolution.
The building was fully restored between 2005-2009 and is remarkable for its gardens and wildlife pond, a haven for wildlife and nature lovers.
Phil & Jude are enthusiastic gardeners who moved to France in 2004 with the aim of developing a hectare of grass and trees into an inspiring garden. It evolves and matures with each passing year and we enjoy sharing it with our guests.
We are situated in a village on the edge of a forest, with countryside views and dozens of gardens and chateaux to visit nearby. Centrally located for day trips to Chartres Cathedral, Mont St Michel, Monet's Gardens at Giverny and the D-Day Beaches.
The accommodation comprises three immaculate en-suite guest rooms with showers. All rooms have characterful exposed beams and garden views, and are tastefully furnished and equipped with radio alarm, hair-dryer, toiletries and WiFi.
A well equipped sitting room with library, English and French magazines, tourist information and refreshments is at guests' disposal.
Picnic places are provided on the terraces and in the gardens.
For one night stopovers only, there is a 10€ changeover charge. This does not apply to stays of 2 or more nights.
