Description
A beautiful olive cortijo, beautifully restored to a 6-bedroom B&B, Cortijo La Haza is the hottest destination around the area. Described by guests as "the gateway to heaven", "a little corner of paradise", "6-star service", it just goes on and on.
La Haza is (centrally) located just south of the village and lake Iznájar, on the 3-province borders of Cordoba, Málaga and Granada. Walking down from the private car park, you are immediately struck by the peace and beauty of the spot, with stunning views all the way to the snow-capped Sierra Nevada.
Via the multi-level terraces in the front, you enter the patio Andaluz, with its stunning array of tropical plants and flowers, and which is used for dining under the stars. The house itself has a dining room/bar, reading room and now also offers free Wi-Fi.
The 6 rooms are spread out around the patio, most have fantastic views across the countryside, all have rustic Andalucian furniture and come equipped with en-suite facilities, hairdryers, heating (winter) and airco (summer).
Your hosts, Bernadette and Patriek lay on a beautiful buffet breakfast in the morning, and regale you with gastronomic delights in the evening (reservation required). The food usually gets the guests quite lyrical, witness to this our guest book, which is full of praise.
Our motto is: "a warm welcome awaits", but recently we have been considering changing it to: "so good you won't want to leave!..."

Location description
hidden away amongst the olive groves, with stunning views to the snow-capped mountains of the Sierra Nevada, some 10 km south of Lake Iznajar, in the province of Cordoba.
Centrally located for visits to the main areas like Granada (Alhambra), Malaga, Cordoba's Mezquita, even Ronda and Sevilla. But there are plenty of local gems that we can recommend such as the National Park of El Torcal, not to be missed, beautifully baroque Priego de Cordoba, Zuheros and Luque, Archidona and Antequera, no chance to get bored round here.

The Duck Palace by the way, was also delightful but rather more expensive unfortunately - the food is pretty good there, but not gourmet like yours.
