With plenty of character and echoes of an old France gone by, we have captured the flavour of what a bed and breakfast should be. From the enchanting Moroccan tiles, the smells of fresh flowers and incense filling the rooms through to the intimate library of books and board games; it�s no wonder why guests are returning.

Maison De L'Orb is a place for relaxation situated by a tranquil river and is steeped in historic events and photographs showing the many activities to be found in the surrounding areas of Maison De L'Orb in Beziers. Guests come to relax, unwind and to explore the exciting city of B�ziers, the Canal Du Midi and its boating holidays and its beautiful lush open countryside is within minutes from the property. There are also many good local wines that attract many to the region to sample all the surrounding vineyards throughout the area in Languedoc.

Each of our five bedrooms provides guests with excellent accommodation and some bedrooms offer magnificent views of the garden and river. All rooms have a touch of the modern with plasma televisions and a full hospitality tray. An intimate four course evening meal can also be offered. Beamed ceilings, original stone walls, tiled flooring, books and original art. Inside, Maison De L�Orb, big windows show off views across to Pont Vieux and the old lavorie in the garden suitably named Jardin De L'Orb.

Location description

Beziers is oozing with history and has a surprising number of attractions, including parks and gardens, museums, art galleries, theatres and bars, and restaurants serving delicious local cuisine. Beziers is not just a magnificent larder; its chefs also have flair. A number of young chefs, some of whom have �come down� from Paris to rediscover the taste of local products, have shown real genius in updating the Languedoc�s gastronomic heritage.

Unlike some destinations for a city break in Europe, B�ziers does not have huge crowds, inflated prices and a mob of foreign tourists descending on it. This small city, with its stunning cathedral and fabulous Canal du Midi, has a more peaceful charm, so that you can walk the historic streets without being crushed.
B�ziers is surrounded by some of the prettiest countryside in southern France and is just a few miles from the Mediterranean coast, making it a perfect base for holidays in the south of France. The city is also within easy access to Carcassonne, Site, Agde and Narbonne. Languedoc-Roussillon is typically Mediterranean - hot dry summers, rain in the short winter with moderate springs and autumns. It is the hottest region in France, with summer temperatures frequently over 80 �F (30 �C +).

Directions

Airport: Beziers Cap d'Agde

Railway: Gare De Beziers is located approximately a ten-minute walk away with connecting trains to Barcelona, Carcassonne, Narbonne, Nimes, Montpelier, Paris and Perpignan.

Car: Exit (Sortie) 34 from the A9 Autoroute. At the traffic lights go straight on following the signs to the Gare and Narbonne. Pass in front of the Gare and continue until you approach the traffic lights. Go through the lights, the road veers to the left. Get into the left hand lane. Take the third left signposted "Maison de Associations". Continue down to the bottom where you will will see the River Orb. Follow the road round to the right, under a bridge and to the next right turn. Turn right and the building immediately on your left is Maison De L'Orb.

If coming from the direction of Narbonne, pass over the bridge over the River Orb and take the first right, quite sharp, take the next right turn and continue to the River Orb as above. We are featured on google maps and would strongly advise checking this before you travel.
