    Description

    You can expect a warm welcome and a relaxing stay at Collingwood House Apartments. The view is mesmerising and you will while away your time sitting in the window watching the ships go by and the changing sea and sky.

    Most guests are surprised at how much more tasteful, luxurious and spacious the apartment is from what they expected. There is a very grand living room with huge windows for the beautiful view. As it is south facing in summer it is light and bright whereas in winter with a log fire it is cosy and relaxing. There is a sofa bed for extra guests and a dining table in the bay window to make the most of the spectacular view. We leave plenty of books, films and games there is also a dvd player, iPod dock and WIFI.

    The romantic bedroom has an antique brass bed and again beautiful views out to sea.

    There is a spacious bathroom with shower and a well equipped kitchen including a dish washer and washing machine.

    The apartment is in a quiet residential street, there is plenty of parking and it is only five minutes walk into the village.

    We welcome children and provide lots of toys and baby things.

    Location description

    The apartment is locates in a very quiet residential street with an open outlook across the river mouth to sea. It is five minutes walk into the attractive and vibrant village with its many boutiques, bars and restaurants along with its award winning beaches. It is five minutes walk to the Metro station and form there you can be in Newcastle city centre in 20 minutes. Close by are Roman remains, museums, galleries, sporting venues and many other places of interest. It is a beautiful base to discover the coastline, Northumberland or travel to the Lake District, Yorkshire or Scotland.

    Other activities

    Tynemouth has award winning beaches that are popular with surfers. There is a Priory and Castle, Lifebot Heritage museum and theatre in the village. There are also many traditional sea side activities such as bowling, boating lake, play parks, crazy golf and a Sea life centre.

    Local events

    There are many events and festivals in the village, highlights include the food festival and the mouth of the tyne festival. Most months see some sort of event within the village. There is a weekly antique and craft market, there are regular book and farmers markets within the village. it is a popular place for both locals and tourists to enjoy their weekends.     Tynemouth is a beautiful base to explore the coastline and around Northumberland. It is 20 minutes from Newcastle city centre and all the attractions there. For those visiting from further away you can easily explore York or Edinburgh in a day trip'
