    Description

    This luxury one bedroom apartment is situated within Miraflores. Miraflores is a residential area very close to the beautiful resort of La Cala and also close to Calahonda. Either resort have all the facilities holiday makers need from banks and supermarkets, car hire, pharmacy and an abundance of restaurants.

    Miraflores itself is a residential area. Some eight minute walk across the avenues to the Miraflores supermarket, restaurants, newspaper shop and is tucked away in the golf area and beautiful villas. There is very little traffic except for locals and is an extremely quiet area. It is popular with all age groups but mainly mature people and young families where they feel safe and secure.

    The property is gated front and rear. There is adequate parking front and rear of the property and you cannot enter the apartments without the various codes on the key fobs for the pool or public areas.

    The apartment is on the 2nd floor and there is a ramp which takes care of the first floor at the rear of the property to save many steps. Once you have walked through the corridors, there are some 11 stairs up to the 2nd floor.

    If you prefer to take a taxi for an evening out, you can either ring Reception or walk down the road and they will ring one for you. It is always nice to visit the Oceano Hotel across the road for a meal or entertainment. A joyous occasion to get dressed up and enjoy food from their very extensive menu. Alternatively you could take a taxi to La Cala where there is an abundance of restaurants or if you fancy a nice long stroll, you could walk into La Cala.

    At Miraflores beach there is a boardwalk which has made the area extremely popular for holiday makers and also people who like to take exercise. You can walk on the boardwalk from La Cala through to Cabopino or stop for a break at one of the many beach restaurants if you fancy a sit-down! The area is pristine clean. There is excellent food to be had of all descriptions along the beach and you could actually dine somewhere different daily in 14 days!

    Miraflores is situated 16km from Marbella with its beautiful Spanish old town or the port at Puerto Banus where you can take in all the designer shops and incredible boats and cruisers. It is central to Fuengirola around 10 minutes in the opposite direction so there are numerous resorts to call at.

    We always advise hiring a car as Miraflores is quiet. There is a bus stop at the bottom of the road but you have a lot more freedom with your own hire car.

    Prior to Covid19, Reception used to have a lot of entertainment during the summer months so it would be worth enquiring to see if entertainment is planned for 2022.

    In the apartment itself there is everything you could need from cleaning materials, iron, ironing board, hair dryer, more than ample wardrobe and drawers, beautiful bathroom along with books, DVD's, air conditioning which is also heating in the winter months.

    There is a handy little desk in the hallway if you need to use your laptop and gives you some space.

    There is also an awning which keeps the boiling hot sun off the terrace so that you can dine on the terrace. We do insist that you never leave the awning down if you go out as weather is very changeable in Spain and can change in minutes - if it was to go very windy, the awning should never be down unless attended.

    There are also glass curtain which only one or two need to be opened and that keeps the wind away. All in all, it is a perfect holiday home and also perfect for a longer stay in the winter. All cutlery, pans and every conceivable item is in place in the kitchen, right down to a small slow cooker.

    We have only just advertised on this site and we do have incredible reviews from a previous site we advertised on for some 10 years. Unfortunately we cannot transfer these reviews over so only our new guests on this site will be able to leave a review.

    The owner prides herself in responding to any queries, immediately - and you never feel like there is no-one to help.

    The television has most European and sports channels - these are chosen by Miraflores reception so they change frequently and of course there is free Wifi in the apartment 24/7.

    Location description

    All budget airlines fly to Malaga. Car hire is available at Malaga to drive to the apartment in the direction of Marbella that is 16km from the apartment. To be confirmed possibly ferries arrive into Malaga, Marbella and maybe Funegirola. Train stops at Malaga airport for all directions. Local car hire is available in abundance and the owners are only too happy to recommend reliable car hire companies. Many airport based. Local bus service stops at Miraflores. Taxi from Malaga airport to apartment is around 75 euros.
    The apartment is located in a very quiet area called Miraflores which is golfer's paradise or likewise, a lovely location to spend days at the beach. The apartment has a beautiful pristine clean pool with its own snack bar restaurant if you don't feel like cooking your own lunch and reasonably priced.

    Car Hire is available to book via Miraflores and the owner will give you all the numbers you need to book your car.

    Malaga airport is some 35 minutes from Miraflores.

    Other activities

    Over the past five years, a board walk was built from La Cala, very close buzzing resort within walking distance from Miraflores. The board walk takes you all the way to past Cabopino, a resort away from Miraflores. This makes for a wonderful energising walk by the sea. At certain times of day you can ride a bike along the boardwalk but the times are when it is not busy for safety to the public. There are museums locally and plenty to do in Calahonda or La Cala. All within a few minutes drive from the apartment Marbella has a very interesting old town with beautiful restaurants and it comes alive at new year and celebrates the Three Kings in style. There are numerous festivals throughout the year and it is well worth looking at dates if you can include them during your stay.

    Local events

    The circus comes to town at La Cala during the summer months and is a true joy. A very large circus for family entertainment.

    Tourist attractions

    If you fancy a change from the apartment pool or Miraflores beach, then there are plenty of places to venture out.
    Mijas with all its leather shops is a great place to visit for some retail therapy and be prepared to bargain. There are lots of little restaurants in alleyways in this very interesting little village nestled high up overlooking much of Spain. Mijas puablo is around a 15 minute drive from the apartment which is the town centre full of shops. Benalmadena is worth a visit to the beautiful harbour and its restaurants offering all different types of cuizine from all different parts of the world. Marbella is a must-see and if you like to look at very high-end cruisers - then Puerto Banus is well worth spending the day.

    There is a ramp that takes care of the first floor from the rear of the block. This is also really helpful when wheeling in luggage. There are many stairs if you enter through the front of the building but by accessing from the rear of the building, there are very few steps - just a short access up to the front door.
    Services: If you are happy to pay separate directly to Reception, daily newspapers, cleaning daily, laundry etc., can all be provided by them.
    As the owner, we provide adequate towels, sheets/bedding for your stay. If you are staying for a duration of a month minimum, we will send in the cleaners to give it the once over as they are professional cleaners who do an excellent job.
