Description
A mere 5 minutes walk from the famous Puerto Banus Marbella, lies the La Alcazaba development with it's lush well renowned tropical gardens. Nestled in the far corner away from the hustle and bustle of the pool is a very spacious well appointed 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom (sleeps 5) top floor corner apartment with a large terrace overlooking the treetops.
The apartment has air conditioning and heating throughout along with a Dining Area, fully equipped kitchen and laundry room, plus of course the mandatory Television with Sky, DVD and Hi-Fi system. One of the beauties of this complex is that out of season ie., not July/August is that it is blissfully quiet, maybe 1 or 2 people round the pool, and yet only a short stroll to the hussle and bussle of the port.
Every apartment in the Alcazaba development is unique, but some are more unique than others, in particular our Treetops apartment. Situated on the top floor in the far corner, it offers a tranquil and spectacular treetop view of the gardens, along with a life which you cannot experience on the ground, namely that of the birds. Many an hour have been spent lying on the terrace marveling at the acrobatic displays put on by our feathered friends.
The apartment has 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms both en suite and will comfortably sleep 4 and at a slight push 5. Both bedrooms lead out onto their own terraces, sadly the views are not as spectacular as the main terrace. Both bathrooms are fully fitted with showers, the main bathroom having in addition a bidet, double basin and a bath. Floor surfaces throughout the apartment are marble except for the kitchen.
The flat has a large fully fitted kitchen with microwave and dishwasher. The laundry room includes both a washing machine and drier.
What sets The Alcazaba Development apart from all others on the coast, apart from it having the oldest and most established gardens, is its proximity to everything. In the last 15 years of going to Alcazaba, I have never had to hire a car. This is probably because I am one of those lazy types who spends most of his time either lolling by the pool, walking on the beach, or in the Port, all of which are a few minutes walk from the apartment.
The apartment is around 4 minutes' walk to the beach and adajacent to a tennis club.

Location description
The apartment truly must be in the most perfect location, set in a tropical paradise of award winning gardens and yet only 3 minutes walk from the world famous Puerto Banus, with its vast selection of shops, restaurants, clubs and boats! A place to be seen and also to people watch! Just 3 minutes to the golden beaches that stretch for miles in each direction, walk the promenade all the way to Marbella town, stop at a tapas bar along the way, enjoy the water sports on offer at numerous locations. The tennis club is just out side Alcazaba, it has flood lit courts during the summer months. The golf courses in the area are legendary, but you can also drive into the mountain to ski or visit ancient sites, Take a trip to Gibraltar or a ferry to Tangier.
With 320 days of sunshine on average each year, it is little wonder that Marbella / Puerto Banus has become such as attractive holiday destination. It certainly makes a change from the dismal English weather, which of course we all love.

To distract you from those exhausting sun bathing book reading seasons, why not indulge in what most women love most, namely shopping. Puerto Banus boasts just above every type of clothes shop you can think of, from top of the range designers to the more hum drum...
If you can't find what you are looking for, there is always Corte Ingles. A 5 minute walk away is Spains equivalent to Selfridges. Everything under the sun, including a supermarket the size of two football pitches, with its wet fish, meat, fresh vegetable section, delicatessen, bakery.... the list goes on and on, and if you don't feel like hauling your shopping back to the flat, don't worry there are plenty of taxis available for about 3-4, or if you spend over 50 they will deliver for free. (not many people know that). But in particular they have all the English newspapers published daily, so as to remind you of what you are missing.
Directions
Malaga International Airport is easily accessible from most parts of the UK and Europe, with all major and most Low Cost airlines offering numerous daily flights to this destination from as low as 49.

Malaga Airport is Huge and provides for all the standard facilities one has come to expect of an international airport.
Alcazaba, Puerto Banus is less than 40 minutes by car from Malaga International Airport or one hour from Gibraltar Airport .
We have a very friendly English driver who would be more than delighted to pick you up, and will gladly give you a running commentary to while away your journey, although this is hardly necessary as the roads are so good and uncongested that no sooner are you off the plane than you seem to have arrived at the apartment.
If you are one of those people who just can't stand to loll around and insist on jumping into the car every 5 minutes, you can consoled by the huge number of historical sites to visit, and the fact that the roads in this part of Spain are generally very good, many of which have been upgraded to motorway status comparable to the UK. Most airlines now offer a car hire service at the time of booking.
