    Description

    We are sure that you will be enchanted by our comfortable duplex apartment in Oasis naturist village situated close to the naturist beach just a minute away and is also near one of the two swimming pools and a restaurant.

    This is a holiday apartment with a difference. It is not your typical holiday apartment with just basic essentials. It is furnished and equipped for us, Maryline and Simon, to spend holidays in a naturist setting with all the comforts of home. We are happy to welcome you to stay in our second home when we are not there ourselves.

    Guided tour of the apartment:
    When you enter our apartment you will be impressed by the light airy space that has been created with the lounge and dining area having a double height up to the roof. There is comfortable seating provided by an angle sofa and for entertainment there is a flat screen TV receiving French and various European channels. We have also provided a selection of DVDs which can be watched with English or French dialogue.

    Double glazed sliding doors lead from the lounge onto the balcony which is equipped with tables and chairs. The dining area has a table and chairs for four people..

    Leading from the dining area, and separated by a drinks bar, is the fully fitted and equipped kitchen. Here you will find a double door refrigerator, a 4 ring ceramic hob with extract hood, a dual grill and microwave oven, washing machine and tumble drier. In the fitted cupboards you will find all the utensils you should need for preparing and cooking your meals.

    Also in the kitchen you will find a range of herbs, spices and other condiments as well as oil & vinegar, and not least, a complementary bottle of wine. We also leave cleaning materials, washing up liquid, a couple of rolls of toilet paper and paper towels.

    There are two double bedrooms and a study in the apartment, one of the bedrooms being on the lower level and containing a double bed with pillows and bed covers. Bed linen can be provided for guests on request for a small charge. The bedroom also contains a spacious fitted wardrobe.

    The bathroom contains a shower and washbasin and there is a separate toilet.

    From the lounge, an attractive staircase takes you up to the mezzanine level with its balcony overlooking the lounge and dining area. Fitted shelves on the balcony contain a radio/CD player with a wide selection of CDs and also a library of books.

    Leading from the balcony is the second bedroom also containing a double bed with pillows and bedcovers. This bedroom also has a spacious fitted wardrobe.

    Further along the balcony is the study and as well as a desk, contains a sofa bed. From the window you have a view of the sea and can watch boats entering and leaving Port Leucate harbour.

    Location description

    The area is one of the sunniest in France with over 300 days of sunshine making Oasis Village ideal for families wishing to practice naturism. The beach is under a minutes’ walk from the apartment as also is the nearest swimming pool.

    However there are also many other interesting places to visit in the area and you will find a wealth of information available for you when you arrive at the apartment.

    Other activities

    The naturist village lies almost on an island with the Mediterranean sea on one side and the Leucate lagoon on the other.

    It has become one of the most popular areas in France for wind surfing and kite surfing. Surfing equipment can be hired in Leucate village 10 minutes away by car.

    Among the wealth of other activites and places of interest nearby are :
    • The Narbonne Natural Regional Park which covers 80,000 hectares and includes over 300km of walking tracks.
    • The Sigean African Reserve just 25 km from Oasis Village.
    • Many places of historical interest, including forts, abbeys and castles as well as the fortified city of Carcasonne.
    • The area also has its share of underground caves such as the giant cavern of Cabrepine, sometimes a welcome change from the heat in midsummer.
    • For food and wine connoisseurs there are many restaurants and wine producers in the area.
    • There are also many activities for children within the village including swimming lessons, painting, modeling and many other activities. Nearby there is the Leucate Adventure park, Aqualand with its giant water slides and also Kid’s Park.

    Directions

    Oasis Village at Port Leucate is 45km South of Narbonne, 30km North of Perpignan, 60km from the Spanish border and 200km from Barcelona.
    The nearest airport is near Perpignan 32km from the apartment and is served from the UK by various low cost airlines. Other nearby airposts include Béziers and Carcasonne. Car hire is available at the airports.
    If you decide to travel by car from the UK, the distance from Calais or Zeebrugge is about 1100km or about 11 hours driving time, most of the route being on motorways.
    Alternatively you can slightly shorten the driving distance by landing in Caen or St Malo, about 1000km or 9 hours driving to arrive at Oasis Village.

    Deposit/Booking Notes

    A booking deposit of 150€ per week is required at the time of booking and the balance is payable 6 weeks before the start of your stay.

    A security deposit 200€ is also required against damage reimbursed after checking the apartment. This is payable when you pay the balance.

    Payment can be made by bank to bank transfer in Euros, or if preferred, by a cheque drawn on a French bank.

    Payment details are given on the booking form we will send you if you are interested to book.

    We prefer minimum 2 week bookings but will accept a one week booking if one week becomes available between other bookings.

    We are required by law to collect from you a Tourist Tax amounting to 0.88€ per day per adult which we pass on to the Leucate Tourist Office . This can be paid before you leave.

    Linen can be hired if required. 15€ per bed for bed linen and 5€ per person for towels.
