Here you can enjoy the silence or challenge your body in the amazing surroundings. A true paradise for people who enjoy active life.
El Arpa offers holiday apartments for 2 persons in a green area on a 50.000 sqm plot going down to the lake. Here you can enjoy life no matter if you choose to relax in the beautiful surroundings under the southern sun enjoying the peace - or if you prefer to use one of the many activity options that nature offers you and which is just outside the doors of the holiday apartments.

Location description
Our finca is situated near Ardales and El Chorro, this area is a thrue Mekka for nature lovers and outdoor entusiasts, no matter age.
The lakes are devided into three different lakes called; Embalse de Gaitanejo, Embalse del Conde de Guadalhorce and the biggest of them all Embalse del Gualdalteba-Guadalhorce, which is the one in front of our finca.
By the lake you will find different restaurants and picnic sites as the area is a quite popular excursion spot. Here you have the option to do different watersports such as kayak or canoeing. You can even fish in the lake, we have a couple of fine fishing rods for free disposal.
Do you enjoy walking or mountainbiking you will find several marked walking paths across the fields. And the mountains behind our finca have some of Spain's best possibilities for mountain climbing. Paragliding and Rapelling is also very popular.
The neighbouring villages are Alora, Antequera, Pizzara, Bobadilla and Campillos. El Torcal is close by and spectaculary formed from limestone weathered over eons of time and its moon-like landscape makes it a "must see" attraction.
By El Chorro you find the most overwhelming natural gorge, here an enormous rock has been divided as with an axe and the edge is very sharp and narrow, it is called La Garganta del Chorro; the throat of the spring. The water runs from the lakes and a bridge connects the two rock sides where the train goes through on the Malaga-Cordoba run.
Alcazar de Bobastro by El Chorro is the remainings of an old Moorish fortress and the ruins of the first chuch in Spain; Iglesia Rupestre de Bobastro.
Other activities

El Arpa is located in El Chorro, Antequera, Málaga, Andalucia, Southern Spain.
Only 45 minuts easy drive from Malaga´s international airport Pablo Picasso. With plenty of good flight connections from UK using British Airways, Easyjet, Ryanair or Air Berlin just to mention some of them.
We do recommend the use of a car during your stay, but it is possible to use the train and a taxi to get to the finca.
The drive to El Arpa is very easy, just follow the road directions we supply you.

Our stay at the finca was perfect.
We enjoyed the peaceful surroundings and the wonderful views all around. The accomodation was cosy and had lots of character, and it was lovely to sit out in the evenings and enjoy the views. We would definitely return, it was a great base for climbing with several crags in walking distance.

Way too short...
The perfect place to unwind, relax, do very little and rediscover nature. We enjoyed swimming in the lake. We enjoyed walking round the finca, seeing the horses and the paragliders. We appreciated the amazing views from our veranda.
