Description
Tamarindos apartments are to be found overlooking the expansive blue flag beach of Peņiscola in Castellón in the heart of the Costa del Azahar ( Orange Blossom Coast). We are a family business since offering quality accommodation since 1983. Hence ideal for those looking for a friendly holiday let be it long or short stay.
We offer th perfect family alternative to the restrictions one encounters staying in a hotel or aparthotel.
Depending on your taste and group size, here at Tamarindos we offer four separate zones. A and B offer ground floor accommodation opening straight onto our manicured gardens and first floor with ample terraces. Zones C and D offer three floors plus lofts ideal for those without children or if you prefer the panoramic views of the Mediterranean and our splendid grounds.
You will be enthralled by the services and the comfort we offer at a fraction of a hotel price. Try us next time and have your holiday the way you like it. Freedom to come and go at any time, light your log fire in winter, no set meal times nor cleaners bursting in at inopportune moments. Allow the children the freedom to play and make friends around either pool and enjoy the many activities and attractions.
ZONE A
This is the closest to the seafront of all and constructed in an Ibizan style.
Consists of eight first floor apartments with ample terraces, veritable south facing sun traps overlooking the smaller pool, gardens and childrenīs area. All are suitable for 4/6 guests, have two bedrooms, large dinning room with sofa-bed, independent kitchen and bathroom.
All have sea views as you would expect the only obstacle being the occasional palm tree! The childrenīs pool is shallow, raised and isolated from any danger being surrounded by a large grassed play area, all of which is visible from the terraces and balconies for parentsī comfort and reassurance.
ZONE B
Follows on from A, again perpendicular to the coast.
Zone B likewise is a two storey building in the middle of the garden next to the large pool, comprising of six ground floor and six first floor aparments. Suitable for swimmers to take advantage of the semi-olimpic pool and all the connected activities.
ZONES C & D
Situated at the rear of the garden facing the sea, with four floors, including the attics.
Third floor has seven apartments for 2/4 people.
Second floor has seven apartments for 4/6 people.
There is a lift for your convenience.
Second floor flats have a staircase each and ground floor open straight onto the garden.
The ample terraces are ideal for outside dining and making the most of the sun.
The higher the apartment the bigger the terrace.

Location description
The towns location, between thw Mediteeanean Sea and the Sierra de Irta, gives the visitor a great variety of environments from wich to choose. The old quarter of the city conserves traces of its most remote past, tied to the powerful Borgia family through POPE Benedict XIII, also known as Papa Luna, testimony to the importance of the city is manifested in the majesty of the castle-fortress. As complement and contrast to the old town, you can stroll along the promenade and along the avenues of the tourist area. All this accompanied by extensive beaches to the north and welcoming and peacefull coves that occur to the south, sheltered by the impressive Sierra de Irta.
Other activities
We are on the coast, and very close to the mountains, so you can enjoy both.

Local fiestas are in September, but you can find other fiestas all year around. Jazz festival on July. Barroc music on Augost, in the castle.
