Description
This cosy, south facing, holiday apartment within a purpose built complex near the pier, is conveniently located for quick level walking access to the beach, harbour and town. It comprises a large bedroom with a double bed and single bunks, a spacious lounge with sofa bed and dining furniture, a kitchenette with oven, hob, microwave, fridge with ice box, toaster, shopping trolly, picnic backpack, iron and ironing board. Whilst furnished with a home-from-home feel, it has gentle reminders of being at the seaside so relax and enjoy.
Heating is by way of dimplex electric units and an emersion for hot water. The modern bathroom has a fixed heater and an electric shower operates over the bath.
The private patio/lawned garden, with shrubs and outdoor furniture, as well as buckets and spades, is idyllic for your own al-fresco catering or a haven for soaking up the sun. The car park is accessed with a swipe card with one allocated space.
A splendid heated outdoor pool, set in landscaped gardens and shared by all guests, is so welcoming on either hot or cooler days and is open from the 1st of May through to the last weekend of September.
The apartment has two entrances, one with a level access, and can accommodate small families or couples but we cannot sleep more than 4 adults at any one time, nor can we accept party bookings for hen or stag entertainment. Less-abled users should be aware that the narrow entrance into the bathroom does not allow for wheelchair access and there is a step ot the patio door.
Bedding, linen, hand/bath and tea towels are provided. A small returnable damage deposit will normally be taken for lost keys. Cleaning is thorough.
Because of the splendid seaside location of this lovely holiday home, you are in close proximity to the town shopping centre, supermarkets, restaurants, parks, bus depot, railway and steam train station, rugby/cricket ground, theatre, cinema, launderette and an on-site bar with restaurant, namely the infamous Inn on the Green. Wifi is available in nearby places and computers can be used for a small hourly fee at the central library.
A warm welcome awaits you - we're sure you'll enjoy your stay!

BUCKETS (AND SPADES) OF FUN
Lively Paignton offers the perfect blend of traditional seaside thrills and spills with a clean safe beach and is appealing to day trippers with lots of exciting things to do including a geoplay park, the new Parkfield activity centre where there's an indoor climbing wall, a BMX track and a skate park. Neighbouring Torquay with its iconic palm trees is the vibrant cosmopolitan heart of the English Rivera and has a buzzing shopping area that reaches on and on. Local Brixham is a quaint historical fishing port with just a handful of shops and a walk up to Berry Head's national nature reserve is a must for views from the cliffs. Tucked in between is little Goodrington, within walking distance from Paignton harbour, which boasts the UK's largest outdoor waterpark and where the rocky coastline can be explored - great for adults as well as youngsters. Just beyond Torquay is the great Babbacombe Bay. It's town has an olde worlde charm with a modern twist, housing a pretty shopping precinct, cafes and restaurants. The area of Babbacombe Downs has the highest cliff top promenade in England, with magnificent uninterrupted views down to the coastline and seashore. The cliff railway chair will take you down down down to the beach or you can meander to it on the zig zag walkway.
The English Riviera region
The lively seaside towns of Paignton and Torquay and the quieter fishing village of Brixham are within the Torbay district, more commonly grouped as The Bay because they form a horseshoe coastline. Famed for its 22 miles of unspoilt shore, the region is home to over twenty beaches ranging from long sandy stretches to secluded rocky coves. Whether you seek a sun bleached spot or an area to build sandcastles, go rock-pooling or take a paddle, you are sure to find a beach to suit. Inland, you've got Dartmoor and picturesque villages with localised inns and pleasant walks. Public transport is hugely reliant to just about anywhere you want to go. Enjoy!
