    With my extensive experience all my guests receive comprehensive paperwork throughout the booking process.

    Built in traditional style with high beamed ceilings, this attractive apartment is set in pretty Mediterranean gardens, in a quiet location on a hill in Pittulongu. Excellent for both a romantic break for two, or for a family holiday. Ideal summer holiday rental or throughout the year.

    The apartment has two terraces. A large covered shady lower terrace, opening onto a small private walled garden. This terrace is very private and not overlooked, and is comfortably furnished to provide a seating area with a large sofa, two chairs and a coffee table, and a dinning area with a round table and four chairs. Whilst the upper solarium terrace is furnished with a sofa, two chairs and a coffee table, and is a great place to sunbath or relax in the evening sipping an aperitif whilst enjoying uninterrupted views across to Isola Tavolara and Golfo di Olbia.

    The apartment has two double bedrooms, the master has a double bed, and views onto the terrace and across the bay. Whilst the second bedroom has twin beds.

    A cot and high chair are available at no extra cost.

    There are no owners possessions cluttering up the apartment, as they are locked away in the third bedroom.

    The apartment is very comfortably furnished with everything you may require for your holiday from a well stocked kitchen, novels to read, a freezer bag for picnics on the beach, a beach umbrella, and buckets and spades for the children.

    Air conditioning/heating is available at extra cost, and can be either selected at time of booking or chosen on arrival and the cost deducted off the breakage deposit.

    Unlimited wifi.

    There is use of a communal pool (June to mid September) with a terrace and good sea views. Umbrellas are provided for shade. The swimming pool benefits from a Lifeguard.

    Private allocated covered parking space provided.

    ' For peace of mind', we have a local English lady managing the apartment, and a useful information pack on arrival.

    Location description

    The apartment is set in a perfect location for exploring the beautiful north east coast and the unspoilt interior of the island. We are close to the many stunning beaches of the Costa Smeralda, and the pretty towns of Porto Cervo and Porto Rotondo. The designer shops of the Costa Smeralda, Porto Rotondo and Porto Cervo are just a short drive away. Also close by is the world renowned Pevero Golf Club, one of the most beautiful and exclusive clubs in the world.

    Beaches - the nearest white sandy beach is 1.5km long and is just a 10 minute walk away. Here you can relax in a beach bar enjoying the view, or if you are feeling more energetic you can hire or have lessons on windsurfers, dinghies and paddle boards. There are also pedaloes available to rent. In season you can even take part in a pilates or aqua gym session. The sea is crystal clear, and all the beaches have clean white sand. Within a 10 minute drive there are 6 more beautiful sandy beaches. Most beaches have lounger, windsurf and pedalo hire, and beach bars in season. The sea is warm from May to November.

    Bars and restaurants - Pittulongu has various good quality restaurants and bars, the closest is a 10 minute walk away on the local beach. The nearest pizza takeaway is at the bottom of the road. Restaurants welcome children.

    Food shops - the nearest small supermarket is a 10 minute walk. Additionally there is a larger supermarket surrounded by a variety of shops a 5 minute drive away. Locally there is also a fish, bread shop, pharmacy and several pizza take aways. Larger supermarkets can be found in Olbia, along with a twice weekly street market, and many shops, restaurants, bars and night clubs. In August there is also a lively night market in the main street. Olbia also has several large banks and a Hospital.

    Slightly inland is the pretty artist village of San Panteleo, and its lively Thursday market, the mountains and the many archeological remains.

    Whilst Olbia is a lively city with many facilities. Nearby is a large swimming pool complex with three Olympic size swimming pools, health spa and tennis courts - open all year.

    Local events

    Directions

    The apartment is a short transfer time from both Olbia airport and its ferry port.

    Olbia airport is 20 minutes, Alghero airport is 1.5 hours, Cagliari airport 4 hours away .

    Even better with three airports on the island, and four major ferry ports, you can choose between flying and catching a ferry.

    Getting to Sardinia, and Olbia specifically is very easy and quick from the UK, other European cities, and even Russia, North America and Canada.

    Sardinia is often called the 'Caribbean of the Mediterranean', but is just a 2.5 hour flight time from most European cities, so unlike the Caribbean there is no long haul flight, and better still no jet lag!! An early morning flight into Olbia will get you to our location before lunch, so by early afternoon you could be swimming in the sea or the pool.

    Olbia benefits from both an airport and ferry port so you have the choice of either flying, or driving and arriving by ferry. Flying into Olbia is the best solution, as the airport is only a 20 minute drive, so a nice quick and easy transfer when you arrive. Olbia airport is south of the city, and we are north along the coast.

    Easyjet flies into Olbia from London Gatwick, Luton, Bristol and Manchester.
    BA flies into Olbia in season from London Heathrow.
    In season June to October there are also charter flights from Birmingham and Stanstead.
    NEW - From May - October 2022, Jet2 will be flying into Olbia from Birmingham, Leeds/Bradford, Manchester and Stanstead.

    You could also consider a two location holiday flying into Olbia and spending time with us, and then going onto Corsica, or down south to Cagliari, or onto mainland Italy, all of which are served by Easyjet flights.

    Olbia ferry port is even closer, so the other way to get to us is by ferry from mainland Italy, or indeed from France via Porto Torres on the west coast.

    We always advise our guests to hire a car, as it seems a shame to come this fantastic island and not be able to explore the beautiful coastline and the unspoilt interior.

    We normally advise all guests to hire a car as it seems a shame to come to this beautiful island and not be to explore it. On booking we can provide you with a discount voucher for car hire.
    For those who do not want to hire a car, there are always lots of taxis at the airport, and there is a bus stop at the bottom of the road with buses to the beach and into Olbia.
    Services: Linen provided, Towels provided, Cleaning included
    We provide white towels and linen, along with T towels. The apartment is cleaned ready for arrival.
    Any additional cleaning or linens can be provided, but would be payable locally.

    Thanks for a our lovely holiday in Sardinia. Your apartment was absolutely perfect every need anticipated. The outside seating area was deliciously comfortable and welcoming and the view from the roof absolutely wonderful I could have stayed up there for hours watching the sky and sea change in the early morning and evening.     The apartment was even better than we anticipated. It was extremely clean, well equipped and stylish. The photos do not do it justice! We spent a wonderful week exploring the beautiful beaches close to the apartment, and enjoyed a morning in colourful San Panteleo market. The food is the local restaurants was fantastic, we eat lots of fish and drank some lovely local wine. Our week flew by, one week was just not enough, we wished we had booked for longer. Although we rarely holiday in the same location twice, this apartment is such a great find, and the owners and lady who looks after it are so helpful that we have already booked again for next year, but for two weeks instead of just one!     This is a wonderful apartment with everything you could possibly need. The view from the roof terrace was stunning and one we enjoyed watching at all times of day and night! Like previous reviews we so enjoyed the patio and garden area that we ate in several nights to enjoy the ambience- the candles and games provided added to the atmosphere! It was very hot during our stay so it was great that air conditioning was available and Margaret was very quick to sort it out for us and could not have been more helpful during our stay.     We had a lovely holiday, your villa is superb, the best accommodation we have ever had. Spent some days around the pool, had some days at the first of the Costa Smeralda beaches from your notes (excellent). It is so unspoilt, we felt like we were the only tourists there.     The apartment was just amazing clean, comfortable, very good situation, great pool, quiet and an amazing terrace and a terrific view !!!     We had a wonderful time thanks. I shed a little tear as we had to leave the beautiful balcony and amazing view for the last time. The apartment was one of the best if not the best we have stayed in the kids loved it. I cooked in more than I expected as the good facilities in the kitchen, the Auchan and the balcony made it better than eating out! The beach chairs and bats and balls etc in the apartment were a nice touch we used them all. The washing machine came in really handy and meant having the treat of clean beach towels midweek. The pool was clean and convenient, ideal. The brochure you put together was helpful and we read it though a few times to see your recommendations another nice touch. We hired a car and went to the water park on the last day which the kids really enjoyed. We found Margaret friendly and though we didnt need to contact her while we were there, felt comfort in knowing she was there if we needed to speak to someone who spoke English.     Deposit/Booking Notes

    Please note that the rental rate includes white linen, white towels, T Towels and final cleaning for the number of guests specified at the time of booking.

    Any additional guests will incur a charge of 15.

    The only extra charge is for air conditioning/heating. This is 70 per week. This can be selected at time of booking, or on arrival or during the holiday. Payment can be deducted off the breakage deposit.

    We also ask for a 200 returnable breakage deposit.

    There is now a local Tourist Tax of 2.00 per person per day, for everyone over the age of 12. This is payable with the final balance, one month before departure.

    Payment is via bank electronic transfer.

    Booking received before December 1st only require a 25% deposit, then 25% payable at the beginning of January, with the balance and breakage deposit due one month before departure.

    Booking received after December 1st require a 50% deposit, with the balance and breakage deposit due one month before departure.

    We do not offer refunds, but would always work with our guests to rebook at a later stage.
