    Description

    This split-level apartment is in a modern chalet-style building which blends in well with the others around it. It will sleep up to 9 people in 3 bedrooms with 2 on the mezzanine and has central heating.

    On the lower level the living space is open plan with areas for cooking, eating and relaxing. The fully fitted kitchen has a hob, oven, fridge and dishwasher. There is a large range of cooking utensils as well as good storage space.

    The dining area has a table, chairs and bench seat with glasses, crockery and cutlery for over 8 people.

    The lounge/sitting area is furnished with a modern three piece suite. There is an open fire and logs are supplied. For your entertainment you have a flat screen TV/video, DVD player and radio/CD player with a range of DVDs, videos, books and games.

    A picture window opens out onto the South facing balcony with good views to the ski slopes and the mountains beyond. Outdoor tables and chairs are provided.

    Bedroom 1 has a double bed with a built-in wardrobe unit. There is a bath/shower room with vanity basin and washing machine/tumble dryer. Adjacent there is a separate WC.

    Upstairs Bedroom 2 has twin beds and bedroom 3 has a bunk bed (top bunk bed is 90cm wide and bottom bunk bed is 120cm wide). Next to both bedrooms is a shower room with a second WC with large hand basin. There is a large mezzanine area which can be used for 2 more beds (provided) or may also be used as a play area.

    There is a garage as well as a ski locker and an external parking space.

    All sheets and bath towels are supplied.

    Cots and high chairs available on request.

    Location description

    The local village is very family orientated and you will find it the perfect place for a restful holiday. If you are prepared to travel further afield there is the skiing village of La Clusaz which is a 25 minute drive away. If you are attracted to larger ski resorts there is Chamonix, Tignes and Val d'isre that are all 1 and a half to 2 hour's drive away.

    There is a lot to do and see in Annecy (1 hour away) with it's beautiful lake, it's old streets and canal going right through the centre of the Town.

    Other activities

    The village will be hosting the biathlon World Championships in 2013. The Grand Bornand also regularly hosts the Tour de France cycle race.

    Local events

    The Grand Bornand also hosts a children's festival every year during the month of August.This festival is recognized Nationally.

    Directions

    If you are flying, the nearest airport will be Geneva which is an hour's drive from the Chinaillon. We can either taxi you to and from the airport or you can hire a vehicle for your holiday.If you are coming by train the nearest station is Annecy which is a 45 minute drive away from the Chinaillon. There are coaches that can take you up to the village.
