    Description

    Light, airy and spacious best describes our holiday home. It has been fitted out in a modern style to a high standard to suit us. The waterfront is just a minutes walk away and you can swim from small puntas' and beaches, 3 minutes away.

    Ljuta is a select, quiet, village at the eastern end of the Boka Kotorska Bay, here the water is kept fresh by an underground river. It is mid way between the world heritage sites of Kotor and Perast, each just a 10 minute drive. The good road and location mean it is idealy positioned for those wishing to explore Montenegro further.

    Solmar is a small, exclusive, development with each apartment occupying an entire floor. Our apartment faces South West so gets good sun from mid morning to some fabulous sunsets. We were impressed with the design and bought, off plan, in 2009. It is a well layed out apartment with a large balcony stretching across the entire front, overlooking the bay, (see picture). There are two sunloungers and, if the sun gets too intense, we have fitted a large roll out awning to provide shade. There is a table and chairs for al-fresco dining in addition to a glass Italian table that seats 6 in the separate dining room. The sitting room is equipped with 2 Italian leather settees, bean bag, glass coffee tables etc. It is air conditioned but we have also installed a ceiling fan to give a cooling breeze which we prefer. There is a music centre and flat screen TV. The modern kitchen is well fitted for those wishing to cook.Each bedroom is en-suite and is equipped with a large built in wardrobe.

    Outside there are lovely local walks, we can supply information on more challenging ones for the adventurous. Over the years we have done a fair bit of traveling in the area should you need ideas. A friend of ours runs an outdoor adventure company for those wishing to hike off the beaten track or white water raft, or try kayaking around the bay.

    The local airport Tivat at just 25 minutes away is ideal for London or Manchester.It is served by Montenegro airlines but is also coming on-stream with the budget airlines. Check out Ryan Air and Easy Jet.
    Dubrovnik airport is the most used airport with lots of carriers, 2hrs away in Croatia.
