    Description

    Situated in the Mato Serrao area of Carvoeiro, just 1.5km north west of the picturesque and highly popular resort centre, the Vila Nova complex is an attractive, well maintained, low rise collection of thirty six apartments built in the older, more traditional Portuguese style.

    2C is a ground floor apartment & has a spacious living/dining room with TV & DVD (please bring your own DVDs), fully equipped kitchen (with gas hob, electric oven, microwave, dishwasher, washing machine, fridge/freezer), two bedrooms (one is ensuite with kingsize bed, the other has twin beds) & family bathroom.

    At the rear of the apartment is an enclosed private courtyard with patio furniture & BBQ. At the front of the apartment is an enclosed area with sliding doors to outside, informal dining table and seating. The living room also has a wood-burning stove which keeps the room cosy during the cooler winter months. A cot and high chair can be provided on request. Depending on the busyness of the complex, you should be able to park right outside the apartment.

    Mobile WiFi is available via Vila Nova reception (or book online at www.wifiabroad.com) at an additional cost of 3.50 EUR per day. This service enables you to connect up to 5 mobile devices in the apartment, at the beach, or anywhere you may happen to be.

    Ideal for family holidays, Vila Nova has a grassy children`s play area, a large inviting swimming pool with sunbeds and umbrellas, a small kids paddling pool, pool table, restaurant & snack bar, mini-market and reception.

    The on-site Vila Nova restaurant is excellent and reputed for its fresh fish.

    Location description

    The Vila Nova complex is situated close to many safe, sandy beaches, with the local beach within walking distance. Carvoeiro Tennis Club and the large a variety of supermarkets are just a 5-min drive away. In Carvoeiro (approx 15 mins walk) there is an excellent choice of local shops, restaurants, cafes, bakeries, bars, banks, a post office, pharmacies, doctor and dentist (although we hope you won't need these last two!). There are also several world-class 18-hole courses close by including: Carvoeiro Golf, Pinta & Gramacho. The Vale De Milho provides the option of the shorter 9 hole course. Fun days out for the younger ones include, Slide 'n Splash (10 min drive), and Zoomarine (20 mins drive). The sites & surf beaches of the West Coast are also within an hour's drive.

    Directions

    The journey time from Faro Airport to the Vila Nova complex when travelling directly by car is approx 45 minutes. Although it is not essential to have a car, we recommend it as there are so many lovely beaches to explore. We provide all guests with directions and map. The nearest train station is at Tunes and the nearest bus station in Lagoa. There are direct trains and bus services to Lisbon and other towns along the way.

    Mobile WiFi is available (via Vila Nova reception or book online at www.wifiabroad.com) at an additional cost of 3.50 EUR per day. You can connect up to 5 mobile devices with one 'hotspot' device. Vila Nova has free guest wifi around the pool/restaurant area and in reception.

    There is a safe within the wardrobe in each bedroom for guests to store valuables. Neither ourselves nor Vila Nova management can accept responsibility for guests belongings.

    Guests often buy then leave behind their beach equipment at the apartment for others to use so you may find beach umbrellas, chairs, buckets and spades, etc.

    The apartment does not have its own pool but there is a large communal swimming pool with kids paddling pool a few meters from the apartment .
    Access: Car not essential, Wheelchair, Off road parking
    A car is not essential but we recommend our guests do hire a car as there are so many beautiful beaches and other places to visit. It is also useful to have a car when doing the food shopping although local taxis are reliable and plentiful.

    The apartment is ground floor with no steps and with a tiled floor throughout, we have in the past welcomed guests requiring wheelchair access.
    Services: Linen provided, Towels provided, Cleaning included, Laundry included
    Bed linen, bathroom towels and tea towels are provided. Please bring your own beach towels for pool and beach, and if you would like to use the cot, please note you will need to bring your own cot linen.

    PLEASE NOTE re WINTER BOOKINGS: We have duvets for the cooler/winter months and plenty of blankets. There is a wood-burning stove in the lounge and we have portable electric oil-filled radiators and wall panel heaters. Gas & electricity are calculated and charged by consumption and not included in the rental rate for bookings December-March (see note under Rates and Deposit/Booking sections).

    Now it is half-time and I just wanted to tell you that everything is perfekt. We have never been to Portugal before: The clima is perfect for children, it is hot but because of the wind we enjoy long terms at the beautiful beaches around the coast. The beaches are all different and we already have discovered a lot of nice places (beaches and cities). You can eat very good at the local restaurants and find everything at the supermarkets you need.
    I do not know, how to thank you for this nice holidays. I am so glad having found your apartment in the web. The kitchen contains every equipment I can imagine for having lunch and dinner (of course we also enjoy the nice restaurants) and the rooms are so large that we never walk on each other feet.     Deposit/Booking Notes

    PLEASE NOTE re winter bookings (December - March): rates do not include utilities (gas & electricity) used during your stay. This is calculated by and payable to Vila Nova reception on your departure. Payment for utilities is calculated at the same rate as the utility companies charge us.

    Deposits and payments: A 25% deposit is required to secure your booking. The remaining 75% is payable 2 months prior to your arrival date. Payments are accepted by bank transfer either in GBP or in EUR. We regret to advise we are unable to accept payment by credit card or cheque.
