Apartamento Piteres is a renovated, elegant Spanish apartment in the heart of Altea. This duplex apartment (on 2 floors) has been carefully designed and benefits from a large and airy split-level living room, which opens onto an ample south-facing balcony with lovely views across the bay of Altea.
Altea has three parts – the new town, the old town, and the esplanade. Apartamento Piteres is in the old town (casco antiguo), approached through cobbled streets flanked by whitewashed houses adorned with bougainvillea. At the summit is the church square – dominated by the church of the Virgen del Consuelo, with its famous blue tiled Moorish domes. All around are arts shops and galleries, together with excellent restaurants and bars.
By contrast is the esplanade – not a boisterous affair, but rather a pleasant place to meet and relax – popular with Spanish families dining and chatting. Separating the old part and the seafront is the modern town. This is a busy shopping area with plenty of antique shops. There are also many agreeable cafes where you can watch the world go.
