Description
Apartamentos Carabela are built in a distinctive rustic style in an enviable position overlooking the Alcudia beach. They are near numerous shops and restaurants, as well as the marina. Bus services to Alcudia old town, Porto Pollensa, Ca'n Picafort, Inca and Palma stop outside.
The apartment is on the second floor and is served by a lift. It has two double bedrooms, one with a double bed, the other with two singles, both have fitted wardrobes and chest of drawers. Bed linen and bath towels are provided but you will need to bring your own beach towels.
It has a fitted kitchen with washing machine, microwave, oven with ceramic hob, iron and ironing board etc. All crockery, cutlery etc is provided.The bathroom has a bath with shower over, two wash basins and WC. The well-proportioned lounge diner has table to seat up to 5 people, 5 seater settee plus 2 armchairs. Satellite TV and DVD. Sliding glass doors on to the balcony with table & chairs overlooking the beach.
There is direct access through the garden gate onto the beach, which is particularly useful for families with young children.
There is a good-sized swimming pool for the use of residents and invited guests, together with a small kiddie's pool. Sun loungers are provided free of charge.

Location description
Alcudia lies on the north east coast of Majorca. The bay of Alcudia is the longest beach on Majorca with almost 8km of fine white sand. The shallow water is ideal for families with young children. There are numerous water sport facilities including wind surfing, water skiing, paragliding and yachting, as well as the nearby Hidro park with its water slides and flumes. Apartamentos Carabela overlook the beach near the marina, close to numerous shops, banks, supermarkets, bars and restaurants. The historic old town of Alcudia, which dates back to Roman times, is within walking distance. Many bargains can be had at the twice weekly market.
Other activities
There is a championship golf course at nearby Ancanada, and a challenging 9 hole course at Pollensa.
Local events
The Alcudia half iron man is in April and the full Iron Man at the end of September. The start and finish lines are on the beach in front of the apartments. The Fiesta of San Pere (St Peter), with it's processions and fireworks, is on the last Wednesday of June each year.
Tourist attractions
The capital city of Palma, with it's beautfiul cathedral and Belver Castle, is easily reached by bus from outside the apartments as well as by tourist excursion.
Directions
There are frequent flights to Palma airport from many UK and other European airports. I can book a taxi to take you from the airport or if you rent a car I will provide directions. Travel time from the airport is around 50 minutes.

Deposit/Booking Notes
The apartment will accommodate a maximum of 4 adults and one infant in a cot. Travel cot and high chair are free. The prices shown are for 2 - 4 persons.
A deposit of 20% of the total cost is required when booking. The balance is due
6 weeks prior to departure. The whole of the balance is payable should you cancel your holiday less than 6 weeks prior to departure. The deposit will be retained prior to that date. If dates are cancelled due to Covid flight changes your deposit can be moved to a different date or if this is not possible your deposit will be returned.
All passengers must be adequately insured as no responsibility can be taken for any loss, accident or illness while on holiday.
