Scottish Traditional Boat Festival, Banff, Scotland
22nd - 23rd June 2013
As in previous years traditional boats from far and wide will congregate in the historic harbour at Portsoy. The Festival puts a special emphasis on boat building, restoration and sailing and on associated traditional crafts including knitting, weaving and embroidery as well as music and art.
The 2012 programme will also include the very popular Food Fayre showcasing all that’s best in Scotland’s food and drink. It all adds up to a feast of opportunities for all to see, take part in and enjoy.
Attracting thousands of visitors, the Scottish Traditional Boat Festival was launched in 1994 and extols the values of taste, style, heritage and authenticity. It is a community project which continually raises the bar year after year.
