For three days in July, visitors swing to the rhythm of jazz in a series of concerts. The opening ceremony is accompanied by a musical parade through the town. Enthusiasts, who come from all over France, then head straight for the Halle, the Cafe du Commerce or Rue Barbe to absorb various strains of jazz at the concerts. The Monsegur jazz festival started in 1988, with the intention of fusing all styles of jazz-related music.
