Every year the feast 'La Tomatina' is held on the last Wednesday of August. The streets of the Valencian town of Buñol are turned red when thousands of people have a giant tomato fight. 20,000 participants take part and more than 100 tonnes of overipe tomatoes are thrown in a festival that goes on for days.
