Every year Lorient hosts the Inter-Celtic Festival in the heart of the city, when all the celtic nations of the world come together in a celebration of all things celtic; the music, dance, food and art. As you will be surprised how many nations there are: Brittany, Irish, Cornwall, Wales, Scottish, Spanish, Australians and Canadians. The main celebrations take place around the port and spread out into the city, with free music events throughout the day as well as paid concerts. And to keep the children happy, there is also a fun-fair area.
