Songkran Festival, Thailand

The Songkran Festival is considered the “Thai New Year.” Expect thousands of Thais on every street on this occasion. Count on water-dousing antics that you will remember for a long period time. Officially, the Songkran Festival will last for 3 days, but in Thailand, the employees and students are given almost a week off. This means you get to meet more people and explore other aspects of the culture, although the work pause might have setbacks for those want to roam the malls for loot.
