Description of holiday villa in Vernazzano, Umbria

Villa la Bucolica is a luxury Villa in Tuscany with a swimming pool near Vernazzano, Arezzo. This luxurious villa has been renovated by Tuscan and Umbrian artisans using traditional styles of architecture. What we have now an elegant mixture of simplicity and class, warmth and rustic details. The windows framed in grey stone face the water and provide breathtaking views from every floor. In the garden, there is a swimming pool (16x7m) which faces the lake. There is a pergola with shower and changing room. On the upper level of the garden there is a barbecue with a wood oven.

There is an abundant use of local pietra Serena and chestnut wood in this three-story luxury villa. The flooring is that of handmade Umbrian cotto. The walls are all hand painted with natural traditional colors.

Ground Floor: In the ground level there is a huge living room whose warm and cheerful ambience is enhanced by a fireplace, TV with videotape and cable. There is a study room and a large dining room. The kitchen is made in cherry wood and adorned with antique hand painted tiles. Though it has a traditional look, it has all mod-cons - two dishwashers, a large fridge with freezer etc. An adjacent room to the kitchen has spacious storage place and accommodates both washing and drying machines. Below the staircase that leads to the first floor, there is a guest bathroom and the master bedroom with a spacious bathroom (it has nice bath-tub as well as a separate shower).

First Floor: This level has 5 suites (3 bathtubs and 2 showers) and each of them has its own look and theme. The rooms have been hand-painted with colors that reflect the beauty of Lake Trasimeno and its surrounding olives. Four of these rooms have king size beds and one has two single beds. This level also has a cozy living area heated by an old Swedish stove in winter and this area opens to a veranda with enchanting views.

Second Floor: In the second level the warm mansard hosts two double bed rooms and a bathroom with tub. The entire place is paved in wood. The adjacent room is what one might call a ‘family room’ – the family can read, play or relax together. This room is simply furnished with cushions thrown in and also has an English snooker table.
