Description of holiday villa in Valras-Plage, Languedoc-Roussillon

The villa, built in 2005 is fully equipped to a high standard. The living/dining room leads onto the terrace which overlooks the resdients only swimming pool (appox 17m long). The kitchenette is fully equipped with clothes and dishwashers, hob, combination oven/microwave, fridge/freezer. There are 2 bedrooms sleeping 4(one king-size, one twin). A downstairs bathroom and 2nd separate W.C. upstairs. The equipment includes; BBQ, Sky TV, DVD, CD and there is private parking. The nearby resort centre has numerous restaurants, bars, shops, a pier, marina and market.

About 10 minutes from the A9 peage, Valras-Plage is an excellent base for exploring the Languedoc or simply relaxing. The resort of itself has a 4 Km sandy beach, patrolled by life guards during the main season, a harbour area, twice weekly market, many fine restaurants, bars and even a Casino. The town centre has the usual selection of shops, banks (with Atms), a post-office and a tourist office which can give advice on local attractions and activities. The area is serviced by a large Hyper-U at Sérignan, just 4 minutes drive out of the town.

The villa makes an ideal base for relaxing, sampling local food and wine, exploring the old French towns and countryside of the Hérault and Aude regions or enjoying the many local activities. Bike hire, water sports including sailing off the beacha nd tennis in season are all available in the resort. Other nearby activities include horse riding and go-karting for the energetic amongst us to relaxing walks by the nearby Canal du Midi. Valras-Plage is easily reached from a number of airports served by the budget airlines (e.g. Ryanair and EasyJet) from the UK.

Within easy striking distance of Valras-Plage, l hours drive or less, you’ll find the Haut Languedoc National Park, the whole wine region of the Languedoc-Rousillon, the African Reserve at Sigean, a multitude of Cathar castles (including Carcassonne) and many fine beaches and sea-side resorts. a little further and you’ll find yourself in the Pyrenees.
