Description of holiday villa near Valbonne, Provence-Alpes-Cote d'Azur

Chez Menna a beautiful villa with secluded terraced garden and pool, overlooking local hills and the distant Mediterranean. Cool, traditionally constructed single-level home. Fully self-contained with a log fire. Glamour of Cannes and the coast just 25 minutes away, excellent local bus service to airport.

The property is set in about half an acre of terraced gardens mainly below the house. The olive trees have been replaced by various blossoming fruit and fig trees, where you can help yourselves to the seasonal bounty. The garden has a tropical feel.

Interior:
All on one level, there is a pleasant open-plan living/dining room (37.04 square metres) with two pairs of French Windows onto the terrace/pool.
Colonial-style Rattan furniture, large dining table with ten chairs.
TV with Freesat for UK/European etc channels, and DVD player.
The living area opens into the pretty, Provencal-style, well equipped kitchen.

Four bedrooms; one double, two twins (beds can be pushed together to make doubles) and a room with a pair of bunk-beds.
Two bathrooms: one with bath, shower, basin and toilet; the other with shower, basin and a separate WC.
In addition two baby cots and one high-chair are available.
Linen hire available.

Position:
Stunning views result from a wonderfully convenient position. The house is nestled in an old Olive Grove, on a hillside behind Cannes and Antibes; just below the road to the ancient, tiny settlement of Gourdon, perched precariously on a hill-top.

The area is stunningly beautiful with picturesque villages such as Gourdon, Mougins, Valbonne, Biot, St. Paul de Vence, Cabris etc.; with their great restaurants, shops and galleries all within a beautiful short drive. The house is about half a kilometre from the pretty village of Chateauneuf de Grasse which has bars, restaurants, a small supermarket (Casino), shops and Post Office.

Grasse, famous for its perfumes; with a wide range of shops, is 5km away.

There are good roads down to the coast, airport and motorway system.

There is a choice of famous beaches within easy reach including the glamour of Nice, Antibes, Juan Le Pins and Cannes.

St. Tropez, Monte Carlo, Monaco and Italy are also easily accessible, either driving through beautiful and spectacular scenery or using the very convenient public transport.

Directly in front of the living area, the two French Windows; (and two of the bedrooms) look out onto the very private and secluded tiled, terrace with enclosed, kidney shaped swimming pool (8m x 3m approx.). There are large, retractable sun-awnings. There is also a large, covered area of terrace with table tennis; to one side of the house. There are garden swings for the children.

There is plenty of garden furniture: table and chairs and sun loungers.
There are stunning views from the terrace, over the pool; across the valley and with distant views of the Mediterranean and the mountains towards Nice, Monte Carlo and Italy.
