An enchanting villa in a stunning cliff-top position overlooking one of the most beautiful bays in the world: Isola Bella below Taormina. The property is situated in a complex of quality holiday villas with a spectacular swimming pool and an elevator which takes you down to the fabulous rocky shore and into the emerald blue-green waters of the surrounding grottos, a magical spot to relax and soak up the Sicilian sun. The historical centre of medieval Taormina, Sicily’s most famous resort, is only a couple of miles away.

Villa Suk is a truly unique building of its kind, with a breathtaking charm which stands out from its idyllic setting on a high rocky cliff overlooking Isola Bella bay, one of the world's most exclusive locations. The villa is on three levels: enter the front door to the main living area, with stylish sitting and dining areas (equipped with satellite TV and CD player), and access to the dining area in the garden outside. Off this living area is a small but fully equipped kitchen (fridge, freezer, cooker, oven, kettle, toaster, dishwasher, etc). Some spiral stairs take you to the first floor which is home to two double bedrooms with queen size bed and a bathroom with shower. The bedrooms share a balcony with spectacular views of the ocean. A couple of steps lead up to a separate unit which is home to a third double bedroom with queen size bed and en-suite bathroom (with shower), and to a small roof terrace with sun all day long. The atmosphere and decoration throughout are warm and simple with a retro style and original use of colour. Thanks to its peculiar setting (the complex is entirely built against the rock), the villa is extremely cool and you will hardly use the air conditioning, even in the peak of summer (July and August). Air conditioning is however fitted in the three bedrooms and in the main living area. Reserved, secure parking space with remote control access is freely available.

The villa has its own private garden, ideal for those seeking peace and privacy while enjoying the most breathtaking view imaginable. Filled with plants, flowers, olive groves and orange trees, the garden offers great al fresco dining options, sunlit breakfast spots and peaceful reading corners. The garden gets the morning sun all year round and is sheltered enough to relax in a T-shirt even in mid-winter, but avoid the hot, low rays of the afternoon and evening sun in summer. The views are simply spectacular: the vastness of the cobalt blue sea and the Isola Bella bay with Calabria’s coastline stretching into the distance, an unforgettable scenery.

A characteristic corridor leads to the complex saltwater pool, dramatically located on the cliff edge with breathtaking views of Isola Bella bay. From inside the pool, one really has the sensation of hanging directly above the azure sea (pool open from mid-May to mid-October). An elevator takes you through 50m of solid rock to the breathtaking rocky shore of the complex: the approach to the sea, through exiting a cave, is uniquely spectacular. Here you can sunbath or swim in the emerald blue-green waters, while the crystal clear waters of the surrounding grottoes and reefs provide fabulous conditions for snorkelling and scuba diving. The entire Isola Bella bay is a WWF protected Nature Reserve and home to an exceptional variety of colourful fish, crustaceans and seaweeds. Note that the villa complex is generally occupied in July (quite busy), in August (very busy) and, occasionally, at weekends during the other summer months. During other periods, things are quiet and you will have the beach and pool entirely (or almost) to yourself.

If you can tear yourself away from the peace of Villa Suk, a couple of miles away is the historic town of Taormina, the "Pearl of the Mediterranean”, easily reachable by bus, taxis or with the help of a cable car located 15 minutes walk away.

Idyllically perched on a rocky promontory high above the sea with Mount Etna brooding in the background, its location is a breathtaking collage of mountains, azure seas and dramatic cliffs topped by a stunning Greco-Roman amphitheatre dating back to the 3rd century BC. Taormina is like a treasure chest of history: walking along its main traffic-free street, Corso Umberto, and the maze of narrow streets and small beautiful squares, you will find theatres and gymnasiums from the Greek age, Odeon and baths from the Roman age, stunning buildings in which the Arab and the Norman cultures melt together in a memorable sense of beauty. Small shops selling local crafts, designer boutiques, romantic candlelit bars and sparkling restaurants, tucked away among the medieval streets of the old town, add to Taormina's charm.
