Welcome to Villa Gelincik!
Completed in July 2010, it is equipped with all the modern conveniences to make your holiday a breeze, but also keeps one graceful eye on the past with a local collection of antique Ottoman era objects throughout the house.

Villa Gelincik consists of 4 bedrooms (3 double, 1 twin), 3 with ensuite and a shared bathroom on the ground floor. The bedrooms have a light décor, with tiled floors, fitted wardrobes and individual balconies to enjoy the panoramic views over the Aegean Sea. All the curtains and linen designs are specific to this area and are produced locally. Villa Gelincik comfortably sleeps 8 people. The bathrooms have spacious, wall-length, walk-in showers, with clean and light decoration. Air conditioning is provided in every bedroom and in the lounge for your comfort.

In the open plan living area, Villa Gelincik has a fully equipped kitchen with an adjacent indoor dining area. The lounge has wide comfortable couches, a flat-screen TV, DVD player and WiFi internet. The lounge also displays a hand crafted natural stone fireplace, beautiful stone columns, large windows and stunning views over the village.

Set on the hill overlooking Selimiye Village, Villa Gelincik makes use of its natural terraces to provide a wonderful outdoor sunbathing area, covered terrace with dining table and couches, barbeque, a sun-drenched infinity swimming pool, shaded gazebo areas and century old olive trees to snooze your days away under.

The pool is 40 m2 (5mt x 8mt) in size, with a consistent depth of 1.60 metres.

There are over 200 books available for reading, so you’ll never be short of a good read on this holiday!

The villa is a 20 minute walk down the hill to the village and waterfront area. Enjoy a glass of local cay in the teahouse, a chilled wine in a beachside restaurant or browse some of the wonderful local gift shops in the harbour.

Location description

Selimiye is a lovely, quiet and picturesque seaside village that remains the epitome of an authentic Turkish summer holiday. Village life meanders along at wonderfully slow pace, with the locals out on their fishing boats or escaping the summer heat in one of the tea houses dotted along the main road. The village follows a natural curve around Selimiye Bay, with a selection of wonderful seafood restaurants and shops along the waterfront.
