Description of holiday villa near Penela, Costa de Prata / Silver Coast
The Villa "Pineview" is located high up on the side of the Brigao valley and commands superb views over looking villages along the valley with its small olive groves and vineyards. Nearby Rabacal is where you can find Roman Ruins and a Museum. Also in the valley is Castle of Germanelo built 1140-1142. The castle town of Penela is 4 kms from Besteiro and is well worth a day to walk and explore with its Castle and Churches. Penela has a collection of small shops, restaurants/cafes, a market, post office and tourist office.
Pineview has a secluded and private location with no immediate neighbours and the pool is surrounded by walls to enhance the privacy. A large stone BBQ is located at the end of the patio which has a covered area, (Corberta) for dining outside. A large roller sunshade can be extended from the roof of the Corberta. The pool is 10.4 x 4.6 metres and has a shallow end for children with a dive in deep end.
The lounge/diner is entered via a single door from the main hall. Double doors lead to the patio and pool area and a second pair of doors lead to the kitchen. The lounge has a large screen TV for Freesat TV and Radio channels supplied via a 1.4 metre dish. A DVD player completes the system. In case of chilly nights the lounge has an insert wood burner. For the cooler months the whole house can be heated via the large oil boiler feeding radiators.
The kitchen contains a built in auto oven, ceramic hob, fridge - freezer, dish washer, microwave oven, kettle, coffee maker, toaster. Hot water is supplied by a gas fired instant boiler. Double doors lead from the kitchen to the patio/pool area where the BBQ is a few steps from the doorway.
Each bedroom has an on suite facility. The master bathroom has a bath, power-shower, wash basin, toilet, and bidet The guest bathroom has shower, wash basin, toilet, and bidet. Hot water is provided by the instant gas boiler.
The Villa is accessed via automatic gates and a large driveway with plenty of secure parking space and turning area.
There is immediate access outside the entrance gates leading to the valley paths and walks going down into the valley.
Major towns and cities are close by with Coimbra being the nearest. There are many coastal resorts and beaches to visit via the A1 and A17 motorways which runs North/ South providing fast and easy access.

Location description
The Villa is on the edge of the quiet, unspolit village of Besteiro with the sleepy castle town of Penela only 4kms away. The area has wondefully relaxing walks through the Vale Brigao with its beautiful wild flowers, bird life, olive groves and small vineyards. Bestiero is only 19 miles south of the historic University City of Coimbra, one time capital of Portugal, and one hour drive from the coastal resort of Figuiera Da Foz. Figuiera has 2 miles of wide sandy beaches and water sports.The Curia Golf Club is about 20 minutes from Coimbra. Nearby Aveiro is famous for its lagoon and is criss-crossed by canals where colourfully painted Moliceiro boats sail. Praia de Mira nestles between the sand dunes and the Atlantic near the tranquil lagoon of Barrinha.Other activities

Directions
Exit A1 at junction 11, (Condeixa – A – Nova). After junction 11 drive south towards Condeixa – A – Nova but do not go into Condeixa – A – Nova. Stay on the IC2 until you have passed 1 roundabout, then 1 traffic light crossroads, then filling stations left and right, and under a bridge. Immediately after the bridge turn right to a roundabout. From this roundabout follow signs for Penela on the IC3, (also marked as N347). Stay on the IC3 until you get to Penela.
