Location description
Tala is a typical welcoming picturesque Cypriot village, nestled in the hills behind Paphos with a wealth of old and new stone buildings to delight the eye.
The village is centred around an old square and a typical Cypriot stone church. Leisure and nightlife activities abound around the Square with no less than 13 small restaurants and bars in the Village serving typically Cypriot and European food to tempt you. Many even produce local folklorique shows on some nights of the week. The village has two small supermarkets, a new bakery serving delicious fresh bread and a butchers shop and deli. to serve your everyday needs.
Nearby Paphos and Coral Bay have more cosmopolitan shops to suit all tastes. The Villa is a short walk from the village Square and a short drive (5km) into Paphos and Coral Bay as well as being excellently placed to explore the whole of historic western Cyprus.
Paphos is a World Heritage site and boasts many biblical and roman antiquities, the Tombs of the Kings as well as monasteries galore. Local wine tasting is a popular pastime and many local wineries are within driving distance. The island abounds with wild life, reptiles and birds. All can be found locally or in the preserved Akamas Nature Reserve (great for “off road” driving) including the famous Lara Bay Turtle beach.
The Troodos Mountains and Kykkos monastery are great for a day out where you can ski on Mount Olympus in season in the morning and sunbathe on the beach in the afternoon.
Golf Cyprus is the new jewel in the crown for golfers. There are 3 championship 18 hole golf courses, par 71/72 within easy reach of the villa. Tsada Golf Club is approximately 20 minutes away by car. Secret Valley Golf course is 18km from Paphos and the new Aphrodite Hills golf course is only just a little further on.
Scuba diving, fishing and water sports of every description are available in and around Paphos as well as the Paphos Waterpark, the Paphos Bird Park/Zoo and not forgetting Snake Georges at Coral Bay. There are two go carting arenas, 10 pin bowling, cinemas, and green bowling at club level welcomes visitors.

Directions
From the Airport (Paphos)
1. Exit the car parks around the airport and head in towards Paphos. There is only one exit road follow this. After about 4 km turn left at the T junction towards Paphos town.
2. After about 2km (about the third turn on the right), turn right towards the main Paphos to Nicosia motorway. After 2km at the junction with the motorway turn left along the motorway towards Paphos. Stay on the motorway until the end (about 6km) where it joins and ends at a large roundabout.
3. Take the 2nd exit towards Polis. After 200m, go straight across at a set of traffic lights. In a short while you come to a mini roundabout at which you take the first exit. Carry along this road to the end where there are traffic lights at a busy T junction. Turn right and get over to the left and filter/turn left in front of a lighting store called Viofos.
4. Proceed along this road until you reach another T junction. Turn right and proceed for about 4km up hill towards Tala. Eventually you come into the outskirts of the Village. Stay on the road and keep going up through the edge of the Village until you reach a funny shaped roundabout.
5. Take the 2nd exit towards Kamares Village (still Tala!). Follow this road passing a sign on your right in large Hollywood style letters saying Welcome to Leptos Kamares. Pass this and follow the road and take the second turning on the left. This is Kosta Ieromonachou Street. There are some houses at the top and several vacant plots further down. At the bottom of this steep road is our Villa on the left hand side behind a smaller bungalow. Because of its elevated position you will see it easily. The drive is to the left of the bungalow and goes up to plenty of parking space and at last you are home!
The time from airport to Villa is about 20 to 30 minutes depending on the traffic.
